888 Posts Record-Breaking 2014 Financials

According to iGaming Business and other outlets, 888 Holdings, which runs 888 Poker, has turned in a record-breaking 2014 calendar year with revenues of $455 million. That figure is up 14% over 2013 and, as outlined by IGB, "888 has announced a final dividend at 4.5 cents per ordinary share as well as an additional one-off dividend of 7.0 cents per share."

lasagnaaammm Wins FTOPS XXVIII Main Event

Over the weekend, the 28th Full Tilt Online Poker Series, or FTOPS, wrapped up. The FTOPS XXVIII Main Event drew 1,260 entrants, creating a prize pool of almost $1.2 million, which lapped the $1 million guarantee. In the end, United Kingdom's Mustapha lasagnaaammm Kanit took it down for $239,000.

Poker World Mourns Loss of David Devilfish Ulliott

New Jersey Has Explored Compacts with Nevada, UK; No Deal Imminent

According to an Associated Press interview with David Rebuck (pictured), Director of the Division of Gaming Enforcement in New Jersey, Garden State officials have been in touch with their counterparts in Nevada and the United Kingdom about sharing online gambling liquidity. However, no deal is "imminent."

Who is Scooping Up Ultimate Poker's Old Player Pool?

In Nevada, Ultimate Poker was the first regulated room to launch at the end of April 2013, but quickly took a back seat to once that name-brand poker room went live a few months later. Tournament Review for February 2, 2015

The PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) continued this Sunday, with several PocketFives members making final tables. United Kingdom's Spraggs (pictured) finished in 4th place in the TCOOP Main Event for $159,412. Columbia's jxarturo finished in 6th place in this tournament for $90,103, while Germany's pennyfox took 8th place for $34,654.

UK Internet Gambling Point of Consumption Tax in Full Effect

As of December 1, UK-facing online gaming operators are subject to a 15% Point of Consumption (POC) tax as part of the enforcement of the new gaming bill of the land, the UK Licensing and Advertising Act of 2014.

Canadian Police Raid Amaya Offices

According to Forbes, Canadian officials raided the offices of Amaya Gaming in Montreal on Wednesday. According to the company, which purchased PokerStars and Full Tilt in June for $4.9 billion, the investigation centers on "trading activities in Amaya securities surrounding the Corporation's acquisition of [PokerStars and Full Tilt] in 2014."
