I. Nelson Rose: Bad Actor Clauses Could Be Legal Under Vice Laws

In an article that will be published in the next issue of Gaming Law Review and Economics that Bluff Magazine previewed, Professor I. Nelson Rose (pictured) of says that "bad actor" clauses could be permitted since gambling is considered a vice. Will the 2014 WSOP Main Event Guarantee $10 Million to First?

You read that headline right. A leaked report on Friday indicated that the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event could guarantee $10 million to first place. If it's true, it would be the second largest top prize given out in WSOP history, trailing only Jamie Gold's $12 million haul in 2006.

New Jersey Championship of Online Poker Guaranteeing $600,000

It's springtime in New Jersey. With the changing of the season will come a massive $600,000 guaranteed series on Borgata Poker and PartyPoker called the New Jersey Championship of Online Poker, or NJCOP. The action begins on April 19 and wraps up eight days later with a gigantic $200 buy-in $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event on April 27. The winner of the Main Event will take home at least $50,000.

Nevada, Delaware Shared Poker Liquidity Could Come Summer 2014

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, shared online poker liquidity between Nevada and Delaware could come as early as this summer. The revelation came during iGaming North America, a major industry conference in Las Vegas. The pact between Nevada and Delaware was announced in February and Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval (pictured) remarked that its "platform" was still being created.

Second Round of US Full Tilt Poker Refunds Totals $5 Million

According to a message posted on the official Full Tilt Poker claims website, the second round of payments issued to former US Full Tilt players totaled $5 million. The distributions were made on April 1 and Garden City Group, the appointed claims administrator in the case, sent 2,200 of them for an average of $2,272 each.
