This weekend in New Jersey online poker, the $50,000 Guarantee Sunday Major on PartyPoker/Borgata Poker saw a total of five PocketFivers make the final table. This week in New Jersey online poker, PartyPoker/Borgata Poker ran its nightly $5,000 and $10,000 Guarantees. Jesse Elliot (No_Xcape on PocketFives) made two final tables on Tuesday, coming in second in the $5,000 Guarantee Six-Max and third in the $10,000 Guarantee for a total of $2,100. stickyking (stickyking on PocketFives) won the $10,000 Guarantee on Monday for $2,490.

"The Real Value of the Money is Staying in the Game"

The SCOOP Main Event on PokerStars brought out thousands of players for tournaments that had three different price tags. The mid-stakes version had a $1,050 buy-in and attracted over 4,000 entrants. Besting all but four of them was PocketFiver Kevin Kevish Williams (pictured), whose fifth place finish was worth a healthy $171,000.

Phil Ivey Files Motion to Dismiss Borgata Edge-Sorting Lawsuit

In April, the Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa in Atlantic City filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey against Phil Ivey (pictured), saying he allegedly cheated during several sessions of high-stakes baccarat in 2012 resulting winnings of nearly $10 million.

Chopping an All-PocketFives Full Tilt $250K Final Table

Just before the dog days of summer set in, Ukraine's serhiy1989 won the Full Tilt Poker $250,000 Guarantee after a heads-up chop with fellow PocketFiver joaomathias. The deal was worth $44,000 and PocketFivers ended up sweeping the final table for over $163,000 total.

PocketFives Rankings Update: p0cket00 at #1 for Third Straight Week

We're seeing a dynasty of sorts at the top of the PocketFives Rankings, as for the third straight week Canada's p0cket00 is #1 worldwide. Since March, we've had one player – Sheater – be ranked #1 for longer than three weeks, and no player has been #1 for longer than four weeks since last October.

Having a productive week was Jamie Kerstetter (mmmWaWa on PocketFives, pictured) who made three final tables. PocketFives Rankings Update: lena900 Jumps to #9 Worldwide

There wasn't a lot of movement this week in the top 10 worldwide of the PocketFives Online Poker Rankings, but Sweden's lena900 moved up from #18 to #9 and was the lone new face in the top 10. On July 29, lena900 won the PokerStars Super Tuesday for over $100,000 officially, a cash that pushed the Swede's PLB Point tally up by 741.

WSOP on ESPN: "When the Cards Turn Against You, They Turn Against You"

Coverage of the World Series of Poker's Big One for One Drop continued on Tuesday night on ESPN. Two one-hour episodes began with 16 players left and Tom Hall was perched atop the chip counts. The One Drop dished out a $15 million top prize.

On the final Sunday in July, PocketFiver Beq was part of a three-way chop of the PokerStars Sunday Million and bagged $158,000, the second largest amount given out. There were almost 7,000 entrants in the Sunday Million that week and Beq, who calls Finland home, recorded his largest online poker cash to date by a factor of five.

Amaya Revenues Up 6x After PokerStars Purchase

In June of this year, Amaya Gaming announced it had purchased the Rational Group, the owners of Full Tilt and PokerStars. The transaction has set off a chain of events including increased rake at PokerStars' tables, changes to forex policies, and a rumored overhaul of the site's VIP program. Since last October, no one has been able to stay at the top of the PocketFives Online Poker Rankings for longer than four weeks. Sure enough, this week was no exception, as Canada's p0cket00 regained the top spot worldwide, surpassing Sweden's r4ndomr4gs (pictured), who was ranked #1 for a week.

On Friday, PocketFives' co-founder Cal Spears was playing cash games in the mammoth Pavilion Room at the Rio in Las Vegas, one day before the start of the World Series of Poker Main Event. Nevada Hits $1 Million in Online Poker Revenue for the First Time

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the regulated Nevada online poker sites hit $1 million in combined revenue in June, the first time that's happened since the market launched last year. The number was $1.037 million in a month, to be exact.
