PartyPoker Eliminates Many Withdrawal Fees

On Friday, PartyPoker announced that it will no longer be charging for withdrawal fees for most of its options effective immediately. MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, bank transfers, Kalixa Pay, goplay prepaid MasterCard, ClickAndBuy, and PayPal will now be free of charge, with the site absorbing any costs into its overhead.

Cash Plays? Not So Much at MGM Properties

According to Online Poker Report, cash will no longer play at MGM Resorts properties around the United States. The site pointed out that impacted poker rooms will include casinos from Las Vegas to Michigan: Aria, Bellagio, MGM Grand Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, Monte Carlo, Mirage, Beau Rivage in Biloxi, and MGM Grand Detroit. The change will be enforced as of April 1.

Court Convicts Three in the Violent Death of Poker Pro Mehmet Hassan

A woman and two men were found guilty in a UK court this week of murdering professional poker player Mehmet Hassan (pictured). WSOP Europe Moves to Germany, Features 10 Bracelet Events

Plans for this year's World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) have just been announced. The event is slated to play out from October 8 to 24 at the Spielbank Berlin casino in Berlin, Germany. This year's series will be the eighth edition of the tournament and will feature 10 bracelet events along with cash games, satellites, and a variety of other tournaments.

PocketFives Rankings: mindgamer Up 56 Spots to #8

A big tournament series like SCOOP means big changes in the PocketFives Online Poker Rankings, which were recalculated on Wednesday. PokerKaiser retained the top spot by a fairly wide margin, as his 7,744 PLB Points were 800 more than the second place player. Therefore, we'd expect to see PokerKaiser, who won last week's Winamax High Roller, on top again next Wednesday.

Heads-Up with New Jersey Poker Player Sergio Vigano (svigano)

PocketFives had the opportunity to catch up with Sergio svigano Vigano (pictured, ranked 145th in New Jersey), who was born and raised in Brazil, but has found a home in Marlton, New Jersey. Two Guys from Shawinigan Final Table the Sunday Million the Same Month

Late last month, Sammy Lafleur (pictured), known on PocketFives as illraiseyou8, made the final table of the PokerStars Sunday Million and earned $40,000. The final weekend of SCOOP began with Belarus PocketFiver ale6ka coming away with the win in a $2,100 No Limit Hold'em Six-Max Variable Level Progressive Super Knockout (say that ten times fast) for $111,000 following a heads-up deal. No Laughing Matter: allinforthelolz Talks 888 Mega Deep Win

The 888 Poker Mega Deep brought out a field of 748 entrants earlier this month and Carl Johns (pictured), who is known on PocketFives as allinforthelolz, won it outright for $35,000. Bryan Micon Returning to Las Vegas to Face Gambling Charges
