New Jersey Weekend Tournament Review for February 9, 2015

This weekend in New Jersey, Sandi sandip815 Phelps continues her hot streak online by winning the PartyPoker/Borgata Poker $5,000 Guarantee for $1,409. So far in 2015, she has six tournament wins across all sites. The network's $50,000 Sunday Major went over the guarantee by $7,165. When the dust settled, AA5454 outlasted a field of 309 runners to claim the top prize of $10,696.

Tournament Review for February 16, 2015

Brazil's rodrigo garrido portaleoni took home $166,746 over the weekend for winning the PokerStars Sunday Million after a 4-way chop. Canada's fournn and Smoothmover also earned big paydays as part of this deal, earning $98,249 and $130,714, respectively, for their third and fourth place finishes.

New Dot-Poker Domains to Open in February

Beginning on February 5, a new dot-poker domain address will be opened up for usage. As it is the first of a three-phase operation, a restricted number of potential applicants will be approved. The applicants must be trademark holders that have been registered with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, and these applications will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nikki_Hefner Wins TCOOP Main Event for Record-Breaking Amount

The PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker, or TCOOP, wrapped up over the weekend with a record being set. Nikki_Hefner, a member of the Russia poker community, took down the TCOOP Main Event for $396,000 following a heads-up deal. In the process, he set a new record for the largest single cash in a TCOOP event, beating the previous mark of $382,000 set in last year's High Roller Event.

William Hill in Talks to Buy 888

Shares of 888 Holdings boomed on the London Stock Exchange on Tuesday as word broke that William Hill was in talks to buy the fellow gaming giant. Shares of 888 were up 26.50 pence apiece, or 18%, to settle at 171.50. 888 has already confirmed that it is in takeover talks with William Hill, eliminating any shred of doubt that a deal is being discussed.

Cash Plays? Not So Much at MGM Properties

According to Online Poker Report, cash will no longer play at MGM Resorts properties around the United States. The site pointed out that impacted poker rooms will include casinos from Las Vegas to Michigan: Aria, Bellagio, MGM Grand Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, Monte Carlo, Mirage, Beau Rivage in Biloxi, and MGM Grand Detroit. The change will be enforced as of April 1.

Borgata Edge Sorting Lawsuit Against Phil Ivey to Proceed into Discovery Phase

Winamax Million Event Begins Sunday, Three Day 1s

The first of three Day 1s in the popular Winamax Million Event as part of the Winamax Series XI took place on Sunday.
