Fabrzio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez has been #1 for nearly 11 straight weeks (SHRPO photo)

It has been 75 days since Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez became the #1-ranked online poker player in the world and he doesn’t appear ready to let go of that position any time soon despite a full host of world class players doing their best to take it from him.

Gonzalez didn’t put in a lot of volume over the last week, cashing just six times with only one of them being good enough to add to his PLB points total. Gonzalez finished 15th in the $300 buy-in Winning Poker Network Sunday Special for $4,100 and 139.26 points. He now sits 1,033.63 points ahead of his nearest competitor, Bulgaria’s Alex ‘alexd2’ Dimitrov.

Dimitrov cashed 25 times this last week but with only one of them counting towards his PLB total, he failed to make up any ground on Gonzalez. Dimitrov’s sole big score came in the PokerStars Super-Sized Sunday where he finished sixth for $8,189 and 157.89 points. He’s now been sitting in the #2 spot for seven straight weeks.

The next two spots belong to a pair of Swedish players who have both spent time at #1 in 2016. ‘C Darwin2’ sits third with 8,071.3 points while ‘lena900’ is right behind him with 8,351.54 points. ‘C Darwin2’ moved up from #4 thanks to his win in the partypoker $100,000 Guaranteed Super High Roller on Sunday. ‘C Darwin’ beat out 45 other players to win $42,550 and 339.12 points. He also had an eight place finish in the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $8,256/180.03.Meanwhile, ’lena900’ had just seven ITM finishes this week and none were big enough to add to his PLB total to fall from #3 to #4.

Joao Mathias ‘joaomathias’ Baumgarten rounded out the top five. The sole Brazilian to crack the top 10, Baumgarten had 31 cashes this week, highlighted by the only one big enough to boost his PLB total. Baumgarten took down the 888 poker $50,000 QuarterBack event on December 8, beating 204 other players to win $9,207/223.61.

Two players moved up into the top 10 this past week. Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar went from #11 to #9 while Ludovic ‘ludovi333’ Geilich hit #10 – his highest ranking ever.

Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren and Joel ‘jbrown8777’ Brown fell to #11 and #12 respectively.
