Imper1um's reign at number 1 was a short one this time, as fellow top young player atimos has moved into the top spot. Atimos has been ranked in the top ten for most of 2007. The last two number 1's, Imper1um and Annette_15, are right behind him in the rankings, and each of them is trying to become the first P5er ever to lose the number 1 spot and then regain it. Andy McLEOD finally had his long-awaited breakthrough to the top 10 this week, moving up two spots to number 9. He's continued to rack up big wins every week, and he now sits in the top three of the Sliding PLB.
Roothlus was the other big mover in the top 20 this week. He nearly rejoined the top 10 after a week that included a win in the Stars $100, 3rd place in the Full Tilt $150, and 2nd place in the Full Tilt Monday $1k event. He's been on fire ever since his mid-April win in the Stars $150, and this week, he moved up four spots to number 11.
M8kingmoves continued to move up this week, gaining seven spots in the rankings and ending at number 23. His win on Monday in the Full Tilt $1k and several mid-week final tables in Stars rebuys will undoubtably cause another upward move for him in the next update.
Pbdrunks and mattster24 rose several spots for the second consecutive week. Pbdrunks continues to dazzle everyone with his Sunday final tables, this time finishing 2nd in the Full Tilt $400k Guaranteed event. He moved up 8 spots to number 38. Mattster24 recently had that incredible week on Stars, and his ranking continues to benefit from that strong performance.
The last big mover in the top 50 was Davidp18, whose consistency at closing out final tables has been remarkable to say the least. On Sunday, he actually missed first place at one final table, taking 4th in the $200 rebuy event. He made up for that finish, though, taking down the $100 rebuy on the same day for over $33k. He moved up 7 spots to number 49 after yet another impressive Sunday performance.
MattSuspect made another big jump this week to number 54, continuing to ride the wave provided by his win in the Sunday Million. Another Sunday Million winner, ch0ppy, was the next player to rise 10 or more spots, moving up ten spots to number 67.
TheDreamer also continued to move up quickly, having made it all the way up to number 70 after just recently entering the rankings. A 4th place finish in the UB Sunday $500 helped provide his boost.
Long time high stakes cash player arbianight had one of the biggest moves of the week, jumping 17 spots to number 92 after a week that included a win in the $100 rebuy on Stars. The biggest move, though, was made by shaundeeb and JasonGray. JasonGray won the Full Tilt $1k to add to an already impressive resume, and he entered the rankings at number 81---a very high ranking for his first week. Shaundeeb, meanwhille, won two $50 freezeouts on back-to-back days last week for over $10k each, and he moved up twenty spots to number 78.
Basebaldy had a well-deserved bump in the rankings this week, following an April that was filled with top two finishes for him, most notably the two that occured on the same night on Stars and Full Tilt. He took the 79th spot after moving up eleven spots.
Other new entries to the rankings this week included bigdogpckt5s, Dyzalot, stpauli111, and SirWatts. Some of these players have been ranked in the past, and we congratulate them for regaining their spot in the top 100. For those that are new, congratulations on gaining status as an elite online tournament player! We'll be covering your progress from here on out as you attempt to rise through the PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Rankings.
