Rankings Update: "Dipthrong" Close to Top 10[ return to main articles page ]

This week's P5s Rankings update features a new entry into the top 10 as TheRealPokerccini climbs four spots to #9 worldwide. Mark dipthrong Herm (pictured) chopped the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $69,600 over the weekend and moves up five to #12. Mark won this same tournament two months ago for $91,500 before its prize pool guarantee was doubled to $500k. Stian JohnnyBelow Stabell of Norway won the Stars $200 Sunday rebuy tournament a few days ago for $48,750; propelling him to the #21 overall ranking. David Bakes Baker ascends five spots to #27 following his Stars Sunday 500 victory from earlier this month for $91,500.

Australia's SEABEAST has had an incredible month of October; placing 2nd in the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed for $27,000 and winning the Stars $40k Guaranteed for another $25,850. He also won the Full Tilt Poker $100 rebuy for $20k in early October and is up 11 to #38 this week. Felipe improved Montenegro (pictured) of Costa Rica took down the Titan Poker $250k Guaranteed over the weekend for $55,000 and is up five to #39. Chris SLOPPYYKLOD Klodnicki is up 11 to #41 after winning the Stars $150k Guaranteed on Sunday for $34,700 and govshark2 is up 14 spots to #48 thanks to his win in the PokerStars Sunday Million earlier this month.

PocketFiver gutshtallin climbs 12 to #62 and Taylor ElMastermind McFarland moves up 14 to #63. Gregior of the United Kingdom recently placed 3rd in the $1k Super Tuesday tournament on Stars for $44k after winning that event for $85,800 back in July. He also took 2nd in the UltimateBet $200k this past Sunday for $27,000 and is now ranked #69 in the world at online tournament play. Daniel Kochan of Australia is up 17 to #72 and Michnak moves up 17 to #77. There are four new players in the rankings this week, led by Sweden's gerrard who enters at #88. Shawn phatcat Luman re-enters the rankings at #94 this week, IWEARGOGGLES is new at #95, and former #2 ranked Scott SCTrojans Freeman moves back into the rankings at #100 after taking a long break from full-time online tournament play.
