Rankings Update: "moorman1" Ends 2009 at #1 Worldwide

    This week's PocketFives Rankings update ranks Englishman and DoylesRoom Brunson10 member Chris Moorman (moorman1) as the #1 online poker tournament player worldwide to conclude 2009. Chris took 2nd place in the Full Tilt Poker FTOPS Event #7 in August for $204,000 for his largest career online tournament cash. He also final-tabled the PokerStars Sunday Million earlier this month (8th place) for $18,800. PocketFiver 1SickDisease debuts in the Top 10 following a Sunday in which he won the Cake Poker $250k Guaranteed for $50,500 and took 2nd in the Stars $200 rebuy for another $32,200. Last month he took down the Full Tilt $200k Guarantee for $81k and is now ranked #9 worldwide. Joe hoodini10 Udine is up two spots to #10 this week thanks to several five-figure cashes in recent months. Joe's big score in '09 came in August, when he won the FTOPS Event #12 ($1,000+50 NLHE Early Antes) for $304,800.

    Jake jet5087 Toole (pictured) climbs seven to #13 on the heels of a victory in the PokerStars Daily Eighty Grand earlier this month for $17,000. Jake won the $2,500 NLHE FTOPS Event #22 in August for $453,700. Kevin ImaLuckSac MacPhee is up two to #17, bigdogpckt5s advances three to #20, gregior is now ranked #21, and D1rtyR1v3r leaps eight spots to #22 in the world at online tournament play. Alex AJKHoosier1 Kamberis has stormed back into the heart of the rankings in accordance with his victories in the Stars $250k Guaranteed Sunday rebuy and $1k Super Tuesday events for $75k and $66k. Alex took 2nd in the Full Tilt $1k Monday a week ago for another $51.4k, and is now ranked #23. Tom hitthehole Middleton increases his ranking to #32, rivermanl is up five to #37, geeforce1MarkusOwnH climbs to #41, won the UB.com $50k Guaranteed last week to advance to #43, and paulgees81 is up five to #46.

    Jamie pokerjamers Armstrong (pictured) took down the Full Tilt Poker $1k Monday this week for $77.8k, and rises to #47 in the online tournament rankings. Jamie has 1st and 3rd place finishes in the $200k Guarantee for $68,500 and $30,600. Ryan gutshtallin Welch won that same event on December 21st for over $80k and is now ranked #50, while DevilTruck makes the move up to #53. November '09 Monthly PLB champion siola is up 13 to #58, IWEARGOGGLES is up 14 to #60, and donkcommited is now ranked #77, up 12 from last week. New to the rankings this week are JoeBlazenyc (#96), Pipedream17 (#99), and Derek8 (#100).
