This week three skilled pros moved up in the top ten. We all know earning a position in the top ten is hard enough, and the fact that these players moved up within it shows just how deep their dedication runs. The first player on the list comes as no surprise, and the title to the update says it all: Simply Ape. Apestyles (pictured) barreled into 3rd place after having a magnificent week. <READMORE>

On PokerStars, he took 3rd in a $109 Rebuy for $7,307, and two days later he took 2nd in the Bodog $100k Guaranteed for $14,000. On the same day as his Bodog score, he made the final two tables of the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed, but the final table escaped him as he was knocked out in 14th. Thanks for making it look simple Ape, we all appreciate that. Oh wait--before we move on, Ape also won the $55 cubed on Stars and the $50 Rebuy on FullTilt for a combined $12k.

POKERPRO33 (pictured left) moved up one position and is now ranked 6th. He took 2nd in the PokerStars $33 Rebuy and 9th in the Stars $25k Guaranteed. He had several other cashes as well, and just this monday he got 4th in a $109 Rebuy on Stars for $8,640.

The last player improving in the top ten, or should I say entering the top ten, is ch0ppy (pictured right), who has been gaining ground for a few weeks now. Last week, he had cashes adding up to more than $7k and is currently our new #9 in the rankings.

In the top 20, the #1 player in Spain is now two spots closer to being #1 in the world. This highly respected player is the THE__D__RY (pictured left), who came close to a huge win last week when he won $10,035 in the Stars $215 Rebuy (6th place). This win may have been less than what he was hoping for, but it was still good enough to move him into 12th place in the rankings.

The only other player in the top 20 advancing significantly is SowersUNCC (pictured right). He had just one notable score last week, but it was for $79,920, so I think we can forgive him. The win came in the PokerStars Super Tuesday and moved him up 4 positions in the process. He is now ranked 15th.

In the top 50, there are three players making a serious impact. The first is intervention (pictured left), a player we have known for some time but have not talked about recently. Well, this week there is plenty to talk about. He won the $15k Guaranteed on Stars, and then, on the same day, he won the $109 Rebuy (also on Stars). This gave him more than $26k worth of cashes in just one week and put him 37th overall.

The second player on the top 50 list is Randers (pictured right). He has been on a consistent upward trend lately, and a win in a large $109 Rebuy on Stars helped him continue this trend. The win was good for $41,175, as well as a jump up 5 spots in the rankings where he is now 41st. He also final tabled the $215 Rebuy on Stars the same day he won the $41k.

Jpapola is the third and last player in the top 50 doing serious damage. On FullTilt, he took 2nd in the $55k Guaranteed for nearly $12k, and then he went deep in the Stars Sunday Million, finishing 17th for $5,886. He moved up seven spots and is now 47th.

In the second half of the top 100, shaundeeb (pictured left) improved the most, and for good reason--he had a week worth over $75k. Here is a quick run-down: He won the $33 Rebuy (6-max) on Stars, and the same day he took 2nd in the Super Tuesday. These two scores alone were good for $57,308, but his week did not end here. Deeb also took 2nd in the Stars Nightly Hundred Grand for another $16,623. As a result, he moved up 13 positions (which still doesn't seem like enough) and is now ranked 53rd.

WhoTheHell is once again back in the rankings update as he advanced 12 places into 84th. He took 2nd in the Stars Nightly Hundred Grand for $18,351 and also made the final table of a Stars $109 Rebuy.

Finally, there are four players in the rankings who weren't there last week. They are rcrane082985, (pictured right) Nutstr84444, pokerpixie, and zrc11. Rcrane had an astonishing week, winning over $37k all on PokerStars. He took 5th in a $109 Rebuy, 3rd in the Wednesday Hundred Fifty Grand, and he won a $22 Rebuy. This impressive run is a big part of the reason he is now ranked 92nd.

Nutstr84444, pokerpixie and zrc11 are now ranked 97th, 98th, and 100th respectively.

That wraps up this weeks update, but check back next week to get the low-down on what's going on in the PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Rankings.
