The 2008 World Series of Poker is right around the corner. The action kicks off with Event #1, the World Championship of Pot Limit Hold’em, on May 30th. That’s two weeks away! The Main Event begins on July 3rd and culminates in a final table that will be filmed in November. The nine man sit and go for a WSOP seat is the finale of the Bodog Points Race Promotion on PocketFives.com. Everyone that participated racked up player points during the month of April. At the end of the month, the top three finishers in the points standings were automatically entered into Saturday’s showdown. SuperTight69, Scarypooper, and JeniDaMoaner earned their sit and go ticket by finishing atop the leader board. Well done!

The fourth through 12th finishers in the points standings at the end of April squared off in a sit and go on May 3rd, with the top three entered into the tournament this weekend. RushStreet7, J_O_D_E, and deadmoney627 emerged from the pack victorious, with visions of WSOP fame dancing in their heads.

Finally, Dannenmann, wareagle2525, and chrisc7 took down a multi-table tournament on Bodog for anyone who accrued more than 150 points. It happened last weekend, on May 10th. Dannenmann, wareagle2525, and chrisc7 led the way in this tournament, setting the stage for the sit and go on Saturday.
