The 23rd event of the ongoing Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) played out on Saturday, one day prior to the start of the tournament schedule’s $535 buy-in Main Event. The $109 Pot Limit Omaha with Rebuys contest saw 1,167 players take to the felts and, when all was said and done, British Columbia online poker player snake8484 fell to Genius28 when play was heads-up. Genius28 earned $93,000 for the win, while snake8484 banked just over $59,000 for second place. Also playing out on Saturday was the first leg of the $2,620 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Two-Day Event, which wraps up this evening.
In August, snake8484 finished third in the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $46,000. One week ago, he final tabled the Full Tilt $150 rebuy for nearly $8,000. Joining snake8484 at the final table of the $109 Pot Limit Omaha with Rebuys event on Saturday was krazylou (pictured at left), who hails from West Hollywood, California and grabbed fourth place for $34,000. krazylou also claimed fourth place in the Sunday Mulligan back in March for $22,000 and finished as the runner-up in the Full Tilt Poker $75,000 Guaranteed in June, earning $16,000.The final member of the online poker community to make the final table of FTOPS XIV Event #23 was borromias, an Austrian who landed in seventh place for $12,000. A total of 938 entrants turned out for the $2,620 buy-in FTOPS Two-Day Event. A total of $2.3 million will be dished out to the top 90 spots, with the tournament’s ultimate winner boosting their bankroll by $539,000, one of the largest paydays in online poker history.
