Philipp ‘philbort’ Gruissem has made a name for himself in recent years for being part of the German contingent of players dominating the live super high roller scene, but on Sunday Gruissem went back to his online roots and had a day worth celebrating. Gruissem finished sixth in a partypoker Powerfest event to start the day off and then finished things off by taking down the Powerfest Main Event for just over $80,000.

Several PocketFives members came up with big online poker tournament scores over the weekend in the $5,200 buy-in the partypoker Powerfest Super High Roller. 28th-ranked ‘Ariados‘ of Sweden defeated a super-stacked field to earn a $226,825 payday. Current worldwide #1 Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez of Uruguay finished in second place in that event for $163,525 with current #3-ranked ‘C Darwin2‘ of Sweden taking home $123,963 for third place. The $1 Million Guaranteed Powerfest #220 event was taken down by ‘gotthereagain‘ who was awarded $175,610.

Former top-ranked player Anton ‘VnilaVader’ Herrmann of Sweden cashed for $129,686 for his official victory in the PokerStars Sunday Million weekly flagship event. Fellow P5er ‘good2850‘ of Canada walked away with the second largest take-home with $105,669 for third place while ‘pokerjoe485‘ finished runner-up for $93,000 as a result of a three-way final table deal.

The #2-ranked online poker tournament player in the world ‘lena900‘ won the No Limit Hold’em version of the Sunday Grand for $58,319 while Russian player ‘Futti18‘ captured an outright win in the Stars Sunday Warm-Up for $56.237. In the Pot Limit Omaha version of the Sunday Grand, ‘31PokerGod31‘ cashed for $38,694 in first place.

8th-ranked ‘pappadogg‘ of the Czech Republic was the winner in the Sunday Supersonic Hyper Turbo event for $35,600 and ‘Rossbangs1‘ outlasted more than 32,000 opponents to take down the Sunday Storm for $27,507 following a four-way chop.

888 Poker player ‘OMGsete‘ won the $600 buy-in WHALE tournament for $32,689 and ‘888Stoyan‘ received $26,828 for the victory in the 888 Mega Deep.
