Entering Thursday on the virtual felts of Full Tilt Poker, 17 events were in the books in the ongoing Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS). On Wednesday, Taylor taypaur Paur chopped a $322 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max with Rebuys tournament for $189,200, forging a deal when play was heads-up against gametime1111. The latter officially banked $191,000 for the win in Event #17 and the top 120 spots on the leaderboard paid out. A pair of tournaments will occur this afternoon leading up to Sunday’s big FTOPS XIV Main Event.

Earning $108,000 for third place in Event #17 was Jonathan driverseati Tamayo (pictured at left), who finished one spot outside of the deal. Tamayo took 21st in the recently-completed 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event for a balmy $352,000, outlasting all but 20 players of the 6,494 who registered. He finished as the runner-up in a Mixed Hold’em event during the 2008 WSOP for an additional $140,000, falling to Frank Gary heads-up. Also reaching the final table of Event #17 of the FTOPS on Wednesday were Micah MicahJ Smith, Mohsin chicagocards1 Charania, and pinappls, who finished as the runner-up in Event #14 on Tuesday:

FTOPS XIV Event #16 was a $256 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Knockout tournament, which saw 1,349 runners take to the tables. In the end, not one, not two, not three, but four players chopped, including PocketFives.com member Craig HU4ROLLZ Bergeron from East Lansing, Michigan. Bergeron officially finished in second place, but walked away with the largest payday of anyone at the final table, $39,000. In March, Bergeron finished sixth in the PokerStars Sunday Million for $40,000 and, last December, banked $92,000 for winning the weekly Full Tilt $1K Monday.
