Tournament Review for 10-6-2007 and 10-7-2007[ return to main articles page ]

No strangers to big wins, highly ranked Isaac "mr. menlo" Baron and Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad dominated Full Tilt on Sunday, each taking down one of the major No Limit Hold 'Em events on the site. The win in the $750k Guaranteed was Baron's biggest cash since his January win in the Sunday Million on PokerStars. With her win in the Mulligan, Annette showed that her enormous live win would not slow down her online domination.

In that same $750k Guaranteed that was won by mr. menlo, P5s members also finished 2nd and 3rd. Jeppg1111 was the second place finisher for more than $80k, and ATM4Life finished 3rd for $52.5k. The Mulligan final table was full of P5ers, including McNallyville (3rd), dpottz (5th), THE__D__RY (7th), and jesse42782 (8th).

Josh Ewing, AKA Haligon, was the big winner this week in online poker, taking down the Sunday Million. First place in this event was worth over $180k, and as he's been known to do for years, Haligon finished with all the chips.

Several P5ers did well in the Bodog $100k this week, including 2nd place finisher BIANCHI. Right behind were daisyxoxo and Sweet Cakes, and Dyzalot pulled off a 6th place finish. In other earlier action, dogsballs took 4th in the Absolute $150k Guaranteed on Saturday.

Many UltimateBet players were just getting home from Aruba to play the $200k Guaranteed, and one P5er managed to take first for $45k. Mnsprout was this week's champion, besting a final table that featured four other members of this site. ActionJeff finished 3rd for $18k, and Ruprikkt, craigthedeac, and Premier were all in the final nine.

Back on Stars, red hot AJKHoosier1 (right) was crowned champion in the $200 rebuy for over $57k. The next four finishers were all well-known and extremely dangerous players. UGOTPZD, Deuce2High, ocrowe, and ch0ppy completed a veritable Murderer's Row in the final five of this event. Charder, coming off a recent win in the Monday $1k on Full Tilt, finished 7th as well.

The Sunday Second Chance also saw P5ers finish in the top two spots. Downosaur took it down for about $46k, edging out scam8 for the win. In the Sunday Warm Up, Zugwat took 3rd for $29k and popular P5s poster Kenny Rap came in 7th.
