The last weekend in August coincided with Labor Day weekend for online poker players in the United States. The largest weekend major tournament score by a PocketFives.com member came from Canada's AWice (pictured), winner of the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up for $135,000. Sweden's ankstrajks finished 2nd in that tournament for $95,000. Titamtom32 won the PokerStars $250k Guaranteed for $91,250. He outlasted fellow members Cody thugmoneymkr Slaubaugh and top ranked Chris moorman1 Moorman, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively for $66.5k and $50k. Telefonkiosk of Sweden took home $60,000 for his win in the PartyPoker $300k Guaranteed, while oldschool043 earned $80k for 2nd place in the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guaranteed. Shaniac took 1st in the Stars $200 Sunday rebuy for $51k and Dahotshot won the Bodog $100k Guaranteed for $25,000 following an extremely large overlay in that tournament of over $44,000. Rusostreet took 5th in the $100k for $5,500.

There were plenty of impressive 2nd place finishes over the weekend, including a runner up performance in the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl by Brazil's caio_pimenta. He received over $45k upon edging out Hotsas, who won $33,600 for 3rd. Riggsb took home nearly $40k for 2nd place in the Stars Sunday Second Chance, while Hungary's breeth won $37,500 for 2nd in the Stars $200 Sunday rebuy. NegativeROI collected $28,000 for 2nd in the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed, while Australia's JarredG made $31.8k for 2nd in the Titan Poker $250k Guaranteed. IamunLUCKY placed 4th in the Stars Sunday Million for $69,000 and stacked99 won $10,500 for 9th.

Annette Obrestad, WSOP Europe Main Event winner from 2007, took 6th in the Stars Sunday Warm-Up for $31k and allinstevie won $21k for 7th. FishOnTilt, currently ranked #15 in the world at online tournament play, took 5th in the Stars $250k Guaranteed for $26k, followed by POKRJOKER's 8th place showing for $11,250. DesertQuest took home $22,500 for 4th in the Sunday Second Chance and McNallyville earned $4,200 for 9th in that same tournament. Porkchopmitch walked away with $28k for 3rd in the $200 Sunday rebuy and WPT Bellagio Cup IV Champion SirWatts won $21k for 4th.

POKRJOKER also final tabled the Absolute Poker Weekly $150k for $16,650. PocketFiver tcb21 won $12k for 4th and #52 ranked player goodvibe of Germany placed 5th for $9,000. Dubbeemin took 5th in the Full Tilt $750k Guaranteed for $31k, and stevol took home $13,500 for 8th. Rubenrtv earned $26.6k for 4th in the Sunday Brawl, MrCasino won $14.3k for 6th, and dOwnosaur took 7th for $9,300. Bigboybunk is nearly $21k richer after taking 3rd in the Sunday Mulligan. Rhe041 placed 4th in that tournament for $16k and Flushy won $8,700 for 6th. Mark dipthrong Herm continued his run in major weekend tournaments with a 3rd place showing in the UltimateBet $200k for $18,500 on Sunday. THAY3R took 9th in the UB $200k for $3,500.
