Tournament Review for October 27, 2014
Kraig Cardshark927Harper of Canada was the biggest winner in major online poker tournament action among PocketFives members over the weekend, taking home $138,633 for his 3rd place effort in the PokerStars Sunday Million (4-way deal).
Fellow member Adrovan Aadrovanrj21Rodrigues of Brazil (pictured, ranked #983 worldwide) walked away with $58,564 for 5th place in that event while tonkaaaa finished 6th for $44,280.
P5ers took the top 5 spots in the Stars Sunday Warm-Up, led by Simon pokerbrat13Charette of Canada (1st place for $95,362). PureCash25(ranked #150) finished runner-up for $71,066 while urbanlights of Seoul, Korea received $50,426 for his 3rd place showing in that tournament.
There was a four-way final table chop in the Stars Sunday 500 which involved two PocketFivers. glyuand Re8uZearned $55,357 and $43,597 for their respective 2nd and 3rd place finishes. JDias99 of Portugal looks to return to the Top 10 Worldwide Rankings after a runner-up performance in the Stars $100 Sunday Rebuy for $38,205.
PocketFiver EmilMaTTsson of Sweden has been on fire in recent weeks, making a the final table of a covered event in three consecutive report. Over the weekend, he took down the PartyPoker $250k Guaranteed Pokerfest tournament for $39,125 as he works his way back into the Top 100 Worldwide Rankings.
Poland online tournament specialist grigorq77 pocketed $40,400 for his outright win in the Full Tilt Sunday Major. Australian xMONSTERxDONGx was victorious in the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl for $25,883.
