At 1:00pm PT on Wednesday, the finale of Event #9 of the 2012 World Series of Poker (WSOP) will commence. The $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event will shell out over three-quarters of a million bucks to its winner and when play resumes, Ryan Olisar will hold the chip lead with 3.71 million. Right behind him on the leaderboard is Brian tsarrast Rast, who has a distant 2.41 million.

Olisar and Rast will be nearly next door to each other in seats 7 and 5, respectively, when play resumes. One of the most notable hands of Tuesday’s play occurred when former Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel raised to 300,000 pre-flop and Barry Hutter 3bet all-in for 600,000. Rast called Hutter’s all-in and the action skipped back around to Duhamel, who called all-in for an extra 100,000.

When the cards were revealed, Hutter had the best of it with pocket tens and was up against Duhamel’s K-J and Rast’s A-Q. A queen-high flop propelled Rast into command of the hand and neither opponent could catch up by the river. It’s worth pointing out that Rast was the money leader at the 2011 WSOP, excluding the Main Event, after winning two bracelets including the Poker Player’s Championship. He raked in a total of $1.9 million one year ago at the Las Vegas tournament series.

Meanwhile, Amanda manderbutt Musumeci (pictured) 4bet all-in before the flop late during play on Tuesday with pocket tens and was met with a call from Olisar, who showed A-K for a race. The flop came 5-4-3, which gave Olisar a wheel draw to boot, but an eight on the turn and nine on the river secured a million-chip double up for Musumeci. She’s in third place with 2.04 million in chips entering today’s conclusion.

Musumeci is looking to become the first woman to win an open event at the WSOP since Vanessa Selbst took down a $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha event four years ago. Musumeci has over $770,000 in tracked cashes in her PocketFives profile and was quite talkative on Twitter on Tuesday and Wednesday, sending out comments like “many <3s for all ur twitterluvns today." Stephen sizzlinbettaReynolds was ousted in a three-way all-in holding A-Q of hearts against the suited connectors of Derrick Huang and the Big Slick of Benjamin Reinhart. Huang hit a straight on the turn to double through Reinhart in the hand, but Reynolds was ousted in 11th place for $46,000. The field promptly consolidated into one table 10-handed and the elimination of Aviraham Lovton in 10th place set up today’s final table.

Also on Tuesday, Ari Engel(pictured) hit the deck in 25th place from Event #9 after finding himself all-in before the flop with 5-4 offsuit against Rast’s A-3. Moments before, he shed two-thirds of his stack after Dien Le hit two pair on the turn in a hand with 3-2 of spades. Engel earned $22,000.

Here are the chip stacks of the final nine players in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event. When the action paused for the night on Tuesday, the blinds were at 15,000-30,000 with an ante of 5,000:
