Three more players won WCOOP titles on Tuesday

Day 17 of the 2016 World Championship of Online Poker saw three more players walk away from as champions while a highly decorated online poker legend had to settle for a runner-up finish.

‘mario1335‘, one of the top-rated players in Croatia, beat out 2,442 other players to win Event $56 ($215 NLHE w/progrssive KO). The win, which was wroth $54,012.16, will move him to his highest all-time ranking on PocketFives next week. Finishing as runner-up and earning $38,834.20, was Russia’s Vladimir ’77kol0bok77′ Sokolov.

The biggest buy-in event to finish on Tuesday was the $1,050 buy-in Six Max Limit Hold’em Championship event. Not surprisingly, the final table included a number of top players from the around the world. Belarussian ‘Azrarn’ finished on top of the 151-player field beating James ‘Andy MCLEOD’ Obst to win the title, his first WCOOP win, and $38,120.47. Obst earned $28,389.37 for finishing second. Soren Kongsgaard finished third and recent WCOOP winner Charlies ‘Epiphany77’ Carrel finished fifth.

The final event on Tuesday saw ‘chismann’ beat out 458 other players to win the $320 Razz event and take home $22,763.90 after coming to an agreement with runner-up ‘0409479’ on a heads-up chop. This marks the second COOP title for ‘chismann’. He won a TCOOP title in 2012.
