Fedor ‘CrownUpGuy’ Holz added another seven-figure score on Monday after chopping the WCOOP Super High Roller (WPT photo)

Monday’s World Championship of Online Poker action was dominated by the conclusion of the $100,000 Super High Roller event and when all was said and done, poker fans were mostly talking about the guy who didn’t win, rather than the guy who did. Former #1-ranked PocketFiver Fedor ‘CrownUpGuy’ Holz ended up finishing second to ‘bencb789’ after the two players chopped up over $2.2 million once they got heads up.

‘bencb789’ ended up taking down the title and leaving with $1,172,360.60 while Holz added another seven-figure score to his collection, earning $1,067,639.40. Salman “salfshb” Behbehani, who started Day 2 with the chip lead, finished third for $560,000. The event drew 24 players for 28 total entries with ‘OtB_RedBaron’, Jason Mercier, Talal Shakerchi and Timofey Kuznetsov accounting for the re-entries.

3DTemujiN, who won $25,030 last Sunday by topping the pokerStars Sunday Cooldown, banked his second best cash yet in Event #26 ($215 Six Max Pot Limit Omaha Progressive KO). The #5-ranked player in Kazakhstan beat out 1,087 other players to walk away with $23,933.75 after a heads-up deal was worked out with eventual runner-up ‘jahwise’.

Argentina’s Leandro ‘leitalopez’ Bustillo had a career outing in the Sunday Million Special Edition (WCOOP #29) by coming out on top with an outright victory for $298,928. The score will place him in the Top 100 Worldwide Rankings for the first time ever. PokerStars players ‘RomeOpro‘ and ‘Maahone‘ walked away with $214,930 and $154,537 for their respective second and third place efforts in that event, as Leo ‘ISILDRooN’ Nordin of Sweden picked up his first career six-figure online tournament cash of $111,113 upon being eliminated in fourth.

There was a three-way final table deal in the Sunday Warm-Up Special Edition (WCOOP #27), with ‘Poleshchikov‘ taking home the largest cash prize of $153,010 for the win. Michael ‘mczhang’ Chip Zhang of the United Kingdom collected an even $130,000 for runner-up and ‘kirdface‘ received $115,462 for third place.
