Holding strong at #2 worldwide in the PocketFives Country Poker Rankingsis Mexico. The North American nation is home to 412 registered members of PocketFives, the second smallest community in the top 10, and its top 20 players have a combined PLB score of nearly 115,000 points. Several American transplants using services like Poker Refugees now call Mexico home, so with that in mind, we thought we’d take a quick look at its top 10 players in terms of PLB score.

10. rounder63 – The 10th place player in Mexico’s real name is Nicholas Carrillo. His largest tracked score was worth $47,000 and came after a win in a TCOOP $11 PLO Rebuy in early 2012.

9. DownByDaBridge – Won $20,000 for finishing second in the PokerStars Saturday Super Knockout last weekend. He final tabled the Full Tilt $750K in mid-2010 for his largest tracked score to date of $80,000.

8. StrungOut1 – He has $2.1 million in lifetime tracked scores. StrungOut1 final tabled the Full Tilt $350K earlier this month for nearly $10,000 and you can follow him on Twitter at @StrungOut12.

7. APD (pictured) – Real name: Andrew Dean. He is the #2 ranked player in the popular poker hangout of Playa del Carmen and final tabled a SCOOP $1,050 No Limit Hold’em event one week ago for $16,000.

6. norajean – Mexico’s Brandon Meyers won the Full Tilt $1K Saturday earlier this month and padded his poker war chest by $29,000. That tournament featured PocketFivers in the top four spots, including subiime, Stamdogg, and geeforce1.

5. SCTrojans – He has nearly $3.5 million in tracked scores. Final tabled the Full Tilt $350K over the weekend for $14,000 and, around the same time, was second in a SCOOP $1,050 No Limit Hold’em Rebuy for $135,000 officially.

4. PearlJammer – Jon Turner can be found at #11 worldwide in the Rankings and is the top player in Playa del Carmen. His $6.5 million in career online MTT earnings are the third most ever on PocketFives. He just won the PokerStars $109 Cubed for $19,000.

3. weavel – The #8 player worldwide, weavel won the Full Tilt Monday Mayhem last week for $12,000 and the $530 Monday PLO the week before that for $18,000. His Super Tuesday win on the last day of April was worth a commanding $102,000.

2. jdpc27 – The top ranked player in Tijuana, J.D. Wheeler has $4.5 million in tracked scores and won the Super Tuesday the week before weavel for the same $102,000. He took down the Full Tilt Saturday Six-Max three days before that for $50,000.

1. cal42688 (pictured) – Our #2 player worldwide, Calvin Anderson recently became just the second person ever to win four SCOOP titles, joining fellow PocketFiver Shaun Deeb. He rules the roost in the Mexico Rankings by over 1,000 PLB Points.
