Around Midnight ET on Monday, ESPN.com poker editor Andrew Feldman Tweeted the following observation about the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event final table: "Greg Merson is dominating. Not sure what else needs to be said about the feature table right now." Merson (pictured), known as gregy20723 on PocketFives, is seeking to become the first dual bracelet winner of 2012. Doing so would also mean an $8.5 million bankroll boost. At the time of writing, he's in third place with 14 players remaining.

With no live video feed in 2012, poker players took to social media sites like Twitter to share their observations of the Main Event's play down day. Remko Rinkema posted that he was pulling for the two females in the final 14, Gaelle Baumann and Elisabeth Hille, to make the 2012 WSOP October Nine: "Every year we hope big name pros make the Main Event final table, now we count on Hille and Bauman to make it a special year. Good luck!"

Also rooting for Baumann and Hille, but for an entirely different reason, was Jason TheMasterJ33 DeWitt, who Tweeted, "This could be the most boring ME final table ever if no women make it. Everybody seems like the next Varkonyi besides Wong & Merson."

Rooting on Merson and Danny Wong alongside DeWitt was Darryll DFish Fish, who chirped, "Pretty surprised to only be rooting for 2 players left in the main event, lets goooo @Gregy20723 and Danny Wong!"

The lack of a video feed sparked the ire of several poker players on Monday, who wanted to watch the Main Event unfold in a manner other than hitting "F5" on WSOP.com or PokerNews. WSOP officials told PocketFives that the packaged shows' ratings suffered as a result of last year's near-live coverage, resulting in no video feed in 2012.

Joshua theNorfman Norris questioned, "Why would espn change the main event coverage when it was so on point last year. just want to sweat the frenchdawg to the final table."

Choosing to focus on something other than the lack of video coverage was multiple bracelet winner and longtime PocketFives member Jason treysfull21 Mercier, who posted on Twitter that a bet on a woman making the final table of the Main Event was 365 days off: "Looks like imma b one year late. Last year I took 14 to 1 on a woman to make the final table of the main event ... #justbadluck."

The question becomes will Baumann (pictured) and Hille both make the final table this year?

Fourteen players remain in the 2012 WSOP Main Event at the time of writing. The action will continue on Monday until our October Nine is determined.
