8 Full Tilt Poker - Super Turbo SNGS
-Cash Game update. I tried to play a $1-2NL private game that runs on Mondays. Nobody showed up. lol. I took my friend for $15 playing $5 and $10 HU matches... I was up ~$60 in cash on stars and ~$20 on cash on FTP since the last update. Didn't play much. -Today, FTP just introduced Super Turbo SNGS. 300 Starting Stack. Blinds increase every 3 minutes. No timebank! $75, $45, $31, $15, ...

4 Poker goal for this month....
So I have decided that I want to profit $3,000 this month in SNGs before I leave for Vegas. I've never really set any goals for profits so this should be good for me and help me get off my ass and actually grind. So anyways, it is June 11th and I am + $600. Money required until goal: $2,400 I will be updating up until June 29th when I fly out, stay tuned imo. Weekends will be where I get ...

Took 2nd in a gehy $22mtt on stars for $1k yesterday, and final tabled what i consider one of the hardest tourneys on the net last night, the $22rb on stars at 9pm est. 4 Meh, why not......
So I've officially decided to make P5's the location for my blog instead of on blogspot. Figured since I am here most of the day I will be forced to blog more. Not much goin on here, just fuckin workin away, hating my shitty ass job. Moving back to Nashville/Murfreesboro shortly after my vacation to Vegas and it scares the shit outta me. I don't have a job there, place to live, ...

A quick update on last night. I played 1 single table satellite at the Rio. It was a $225 buyin and was really weak overall. We did a $20 last longer which I of course took down for an extra $100. I had a good read on this guy who was bullying the table and basically just crushing people. I however built my chipstack through him while he took out others. Him and I ended up heads up and chopped it ...

1 My First Week in the City of Sin
May 30th 2008 I’m writing this en route to Las Vegas on a lay-over in Houston but because it’s a short lay-over I don’t want to pay $7.95 for an hour of internet (so Jewish) when realistically I’m only going to be on the internet for 30 minutes. But luckily for you guys, this gives me time to get started on my next blog. See, I can keep promises. It’s only been a matter of days since my last blog ...

The more I play, the more I wonder how I am coming up short. small tourneys, big tourneys, cheap tourneys, expensive ones too. I study really hard and try to ballance a job, fiance and two kids along with it. I just cant seem to take a good share, though I feel when I play my "A game" I am pretty unstoppable. I recently realized a few of my flaws. So more this post is about how to ...

8 The Golden Nugget Grand Series Event #3
This has been an incredibly fun weekend. It started at +$510. I played about 6 hours of 3/6 and 2/4 limit at Green Valley Ranch casino. This was lots of fun but a roller coaster ride. I got drunk through all of it too. This is not a good idea and I thoroughly regret it. I lost about $280 over the course of the evening. I came home saddened by my lack of discipline and return to drinking. As ...

15 Final Table
I haven't been able to play as many non-satellite tournaments for the past month or two. I have never had a lot of success at FullTilt even though I really love the structure of the tourneys there. Last night I found a $5 PL Omaha 8b tourney that fit into my schedule and was very happy to make the final table. I started the final table with a chip position of 8 of 9. I finished 7th and got a ...

8 WSOP Saturday May 31 2008
Today I went down to the Rio about 12pm. There were lots of people searching for their tournament tables in the $1500 Event #2 Day 1. I just kinda walked around and checked everything out for awhile and waited for the crowds to subside. I stood and watch Jon "PearlJammer" Turner for about 15 mins and was surprised how it appeared only 1 other guy at the table knew who he was. I also ...

8 Binion's Poker Classic Event #2
Today I decided to take a little trip downtown to Binion's to check out their little tournament series. I arrived early at about 12 noon for the 2pm event. I played a bit of 2/4 limit before the tournament started and as per standard I profited about $35 in the 1.5 hrs I played. I cashed out and put the $5 in a Quick Hit penny slot machine and got $30 back. I then went to find my ...

On level one, I put my money in with AKo and lost with about 700 chips left. The blinds were at 50/100 and 3 people limped in. I had at middle position and shoved. get called by two people (of course lol). One guy has kt the other qk. kt flops a straight and i'm out. High variance on these games but oh well... it can be fun if you make it past the opening super donk fest.

My girlfriend is coming down here for the next 10 weeks or so, and I likely won't be playing a lot of poker while she's here, so this was one more chance to spend some time at the tables. It was also a great opportunity to see some of my good friends that I only see a couple times a year at poker events. All in all, it was just a ...

1 Now is the time to grind...
There has never been a better time to be a poker player. Whether you grind live or online, it is so easy to find the game you want to play, at anyime, regardless of buy in. Since Moneymaker in 2003, there has been a huge supply of dead money in the poker world. Anyone who truly grasps the game knows how many fish are really out there. Today, there are many average players making a decent income ...

Strangely, the 25NL level seems like a double sized fish tank compared to the 10NL level, and there is a sardine migration of shortstacks going on there. First impression tells me it's going to be very profitable. Regarding the 180 man and the MTTs, i played one or two 4.40 180 man. As a cash player, i just asked myself what ...
