4 A week "off" for good behaviour
With lectures starting again i've put in just under 700 sngs in the last 7 days which leaves me behind supernova pace. Not the best start but i've enjoyed doing other things. Can't get enough of playing snooker at the moment and my games really improving...if only i could say that about other aspects of my life. after a nice run last week on the cash tables (badugi), it went downhill from there during the weekend. Attempted $1/$2 and got owned or was probably not getting my fair share of the draws. No execuses though, i played like the donks i was getting $$$ from in 0.5/1. Pat pre draw with J and going to showdown even if villain was pat after 2nd draw, playing way too many hand OOP, not hitting when ...

12pm start ready to try and crush the last day of the P5s contest. Updates later. Cashed in 7 out of 48 MTTs with one FT. I took several shots today but did not manage a good result which made the day pretty expensive. Luckily my team finished strong in the midstakes contest and I believe we will win. 1pm start and ready to rock out with my ____ out! Had an awesome day yesterday and I feel good! Updates later. Cashed in 3 out of 39 MTTs but was lucky enough to win the $26 33k ko on FTP. What an awesome couple of days, wow. The FT was brutal, the stacks are shallow and there is so much shoving. 16 Time is the greatest gift
Took a little time off to spend some time with my father. I feel that spending time with loved ones is the greatest gift because we are only given so much and we never know exactly how much time we have. I would have loved to play at Commerce this week. My father and I needed this time together. He is the best and will be backing me for the next year. How did I get so lucky' I will be back online ...

Hopefully we can be friends but I don't care if I post for months with no comments, I need to do this for my own purposes. 2 POKER, POKER & MORE POKER.
Hi all, Well i have been playing heaps of online poker lately. I have been having a good run too, I have been playing alot of $1.10 45 person SNG's on pokerstars. I have built up my bankroll over the last few weeks from $10 to a lil over $110. I am planning on playing alot of big guarantee tournaments over the weekend, just the $1.10 & $2.20 buy-ins. So I've been thinking about some of my sessions lately and I'm noticing some trends that I wasn't noticing before. The trends are making me rethink some of what I have always been told/assumed were the "standard plays." A big part of this is coming from my own understanding that there are more variables at play in each situation. Things like initiative, stack sizes, deep stacked play, and ...

196 Lots Of Live Poker... Part 2.
Continued from Lots Of Life Poker... Part 1 blog... Yesterday I went to the Isle Casino in Pompano, Florida for their $1600 bounty tournament. There was a $500 bounty on each player you knocked out. I played a really ridiculous pot a couple hours into the tournament I'd like to talk about. It was my VERY FIRST HAND at a new table. The blinds were 200/400/50a and a guy I've played with quite a ...

196 Lots Of Live Poker... Part 1.
My trip to the Bahamas was profitable, but it could have been much more successful. I played only two tournaments. The $10k Main Event and a $1k side event. I was going to play the $2k turbo ($1k bounty on each person) but my friend was sick and going to go to the doctor, so I decided to skip the tournament and take him. 1 GREAT IDEAS FOR POKERSTARS!
I am a person who blocks the images of people at my tables. They should have a setting that automatically blocks all images at the tables. This would be a lazy American setting. Fate is a funny thing.... Nah, I'm just kidding. I've finally settled in at the new job enough to play some poker without going insane with stress. I am Japanese from my father's side; he was born in Alaska before it was state. His parents came over from Japan before WWII and were in Seattle, Washington when the war began. They lost their first born son in a concentration camp and after the war relocated to Anchorage, Alaska; where they started a few businesses and had some success. My mother worked for my father and was best friends for 5 ...

Today’s quote is from the book Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle. " How quick we are to form an opinion of a person to come to a conclusion about them. It is satisfying to the egoic mind to label another human being, to give them a conceptual identity, to pronounce righteous judgment upon them. Every human being has been conditioned to think and behave in certain ways - conditioned genetically as ...

Hello all, (that's if anyone actually reads this) I have just joined p5's, after being a bit of a voyeur for about a year, after reading another blogger say how much being part of the p5's community has helped him out, and thought it was about time I got involved. Have been playing poker for a couple of years but only started taking it as something other than a hobby last year, and was very ...

196 Welcome To 2011...
What's up world' I hope everyone had a good Christmas and a great New Years. Things have been alright on my end. I've had to make a couple difficult decisions lately. It hasn't been fun or easy but I did what I had to do. Sometimes doing the right thing is the toughest thing to do. I don't get too personal in my blog often, but I try to live my life with honesty and do what I think is right. I ...

...Apparently. The worst week of my life on Stars. I've played my normal game, the same one that won me over 200 dollars in one session last week and now I can hardly put in a profitable session. I've kept up easily with the demands of making Supernova in terms of vpps, 2223 from 6 days but if i can't keep a bankroll together then that's not much good. I placed 2nd in the $24+2, 32K Guarantee, KO tournament on tilt. I also cashed in 4 out of the 7 I played today. Feeling pretty goodish, I did get lucky at one point in the tournament, which was crucial. Busted out on KQ vs 88, the 8's held. I use the word goodish because right now it is good tomorrow it might not be. I also wanted to mention that after my last blog about my personal life, I ...

Make no mistake, there is a lot of deception in Poker, whether live or online. I don't really mean the fraudulent kind (that exists too in both forms!) but in totally other forms. One kind of deception is amongst players within a hand on a particular table that influences your game directly or indirectly. It is at times this thrill of being the absolute master of this deception, that the top ...

Goodbye 2010, it was a nice year poker wise compared to 2009 but still not quite 2008. Looking back it was a good rebound year for my MTTs, although the late charge to try to bink something big led to a losing month. But still nice to FT several tourneys and even though I did not get to win, it were still nice BR boosters. Also started to seriously playing mixed games and the individual games ...
