  1. this is my first blog here and I'm not sure if I should start with it
    on a day like today...

as always i tried to catch some faith on some of the bigger tourneys on
sunday and it went totally wrong way as I started with one of my
most loved and hated tourneys ever - the 250k at bwin / champion chip -.

don't remember how often i played it - i guess 10 times now but never
got any far than just first level of cashes and several times busted early.
so I shouldn't wonder as it happend yesterday. I got two monsters and both
died. first due to loose calls preflop and the second due to a great 2-outer.

I got dealt AA in middle position and was down a bit from my 2500 starting
chips and so i tried to get some back by shoving to 4 BB and got 2 callers.
flop was nice to me and showed 37K with two diamonds. as the BB checked
to me I made a typically c-bet with 3/4-pot and got the BB calling then.
As turn was a 9 in diamond and i got a small bet in front of me i decided just
to call coz I already felt his flushdraw was arrived and the river showed
a black jack and he bet half pot - I called just to see it - 65 diamonds.

Ok, this wasen't very tragic but not soooo nice. my stack was down to 1.2 k
and as i got KK dealt in late position and got a 5 bb push from UTG. I decided
to go over him to let him reraise me all in preflop with (so I felt it) any AQ+ or
any 77+ and as i called him he showed me 99 and it was clear what comes:

FLOP 885 rainbow for a nasty 9 on turn and blank on river.

So my 200$ buyin was gone for ??? for nothing :-(

The day couldn't start better but as I played the 100k 1rebuy at bwin
a bit later i was another time in a situation I love most. Not enough the
250k sucked me so nicely i got KK UTG+1 and was 2nd chipleader on the
table. I pushed 4 BB and got a plain call from the chipleader at button.

FLOP 238 rainbow and the magic starts..... pot bet from me and another
plain call at the button and a 6 on the turn doesnt change it. another
bet from me in potsize and he went all in after a bit of thinking. A clear
CALL to me and he showed me what i was most scared of... AA :-(
I knew he didn't have set but AA was the best kill you could give me
this night and so i was out on my "second chance" tourney this sunday
and decided to go to sleep early.

So all in all it was a day to once again recognize: you can't get rewarded for
playing solid all the time and at least I have some shoots at the soon
beginning WCOOP with my 5200$-ticket splitting into several buyins for
the side events with some nice action that is coming up to me.

But my nice July with over 20k in cashes is now followed by a flat august actually :-(

PS: I still look for reasonable coaching as I'm just in the beginning of my hopefully
good running semiprofessional poker career ... if its running better I may invest
my whole day for it :-)
