more fish in winter ?

so november has gone and with some nice results lately (2 FT's in
the 50k again) I really hooked up myself to 2k plus in november after
three and a half weeks massive downswing :-)

getting myself more busy at pokerstars and playing their new 180 ppl
turbo's with 3.3$ buyin and rebuy at first 30 min I found my way back
to get close to positive ROI at stars. I won't remember wcoop where
I played arround 20 events and started well with some cashes and then
couldn't make any cash at all in the second half of the series. it was an
absolute rollercoaster from 3k- to 2k+ and then to 3k- again :-(
but these 180 ppl SNG's really got me back from 3k- to 1k- last three
weeks and I hope to be positive at all at the end of the year.

as I read some other blogs I noticed its getting winter and more ppl
play online poker again (probably more fun players?) !!! thats why my
title of this blog "more fish in winter ?"

as I focused on playing poker semi-professional since june this year
I had really no experience if the amount of fish is rising these days and
if this is rising more than the return of some pro's that I also recognized.
so the sommer is often a chance for some pro's to recover TOO...

So I would like to start a small discussion here - what do you think is
rising bigger ? The amount of fish in winter or the comeback of relaxing
pro's from sommer ? PLS comment here to get a picture of it :-)

I definitely say - MORE FISH these days !!!

    1. I agree: more fishes, bigger field sizes in MTTs in winter.

    2. Seems like I only make money in Jan/Feb and then break-even the rest of the year - has been like this the past 2 yrs - hopefully will continue as I'm on a massive downswing

    3. Definitely larger fields.
