  1. A Daily Documentation Exploring How $500 Becomes $25,000+

    ------------------

    Started with $500 on April 15th

    Bankroll = $4,250

    Project details at adamsapple19.com

    ------------------

    Hello hello. For the last 49 days I've been working on a project on Pokerstars and I'd like to share my results so far with the poker community at large.

    A little bit about me first: I'm 27 years old and I make my living playing poker online. For the last six months I've been playing midstakes MTTs and 45-mans on Full Tilt with a lot of success. I keep a poker blog at adamsapple19.com

    The Project: All the specific details and criteria for the project are located on my blog but I'll give the basics right here.

    I have to turn $500 into $25,000 by following proper bankroll guidelines and its broken down into two phases. The first phase involves turning the initial $500 into $5,000 by playing only small stakes SNGs. I've played 2,253 SNGs in the last 49 days and the bankroll currently sits at $4,250. Oh btw, these are the exact same SNGs as Boku87 played during his challenge (a partial inspiration for this project). Anyway I'm just $750 away from being able to move onto Phase Two.

    Phase Two is where I pivot from SNGs to scheduled daily MTTs. This is where the real work begins. Using sound bankroll fundamentals I'll start out playing nothing higher than $55 buyins for freezeouts and nothing higher than $10 buyins for rebuys. As the bankroll grows or shrinks I'll adjust the buyins accordingly.

    Well what do you think? Sounds like a lot of work and it is. But the satisfaction of completing the project will be worth it.

    I am updating my results and graphs and bankroll status everyday on my blogspot blog and I will try to keep this blog updated daily as well. This project started out kinda slow and I wasn't working on it too much everyday but for the last three weeks I've been going at it full steam ahead.

    So feel free to follow along here or on my blog at adamsapple19.com and leave positive thoughts and comments as often as you'd like (keep the negative stuff to yourself please).
