Hi guys,
This is my first blog ever mainly because I've always been too lazy to write one. I'm not sure why anyone would really care about what a degenerate online poker player like myself does in the in-between hours but hey, I appreciate your interest.
I suppose I'll start off with where I am right now. Just got back after a relatively unsuccessful trip to Vegas where I lost money online and only cashed 3 times out of 20. I did win a couple thousand in cash games though and above all I stayed focused and in shape the entire time I was there. I can't complain cause I was on a huge year long upswing before that online but its never fun to put all of your focus and energy into something and not come out successful.
Traditionally, Vegas has been a place where I go buckwild and nonstop party. In the past I just ate and drank everything in site and gambled a lot of money away.

Me fat in Vegas in 09. Semi-ballin but pretty obviously didn't sleep with any of those girls and may have thrown up on one of them.
This year I didn't touch table games, drink, and worked out daily. Basically, I'm boring as hell now. Meh, I'm not that boring I guess... I went skydiving and dunebuggying which was pretty cool. Skydiving was something I had always wanted to do so we all (Stevie444, mrbigqueso, callisto, floes, pokerbrat, and heyimdro) went one day. I'd say the scariest part by far was hanging off the side of the plane. Melanie was actually way tougher than me - she went twice and I was screaming like a little girl.

Dunebuggying was also cool as hell. Queso was straight reckless and almost rolled the buggy a couple of times. Was intense, not something I'd recommend for older folk but I had a blast.

Anyway, stevie444 and I rode tripped back to Austin to grind ftops and he just left for portugal and wsop europe which I may or may not go to. I'm pretty bummed stevie left, he's the the chillest roomate ever and just an awesome guy. We bring out the best in each other by motivating each other to work hard both in poker and in the gym - he's super smart and has taught me a shit ton. Since we came back to Austin we've both been upswinging. Stevie in cash and me in donkaments. Stevie had a pretty sick 50/100 session where he made 30k or so the other day and I won a 50r and got 2nd in a 300 fo. I'm not going to be doing much but working out, playing poker, studying poker, making videos, and writing the book. I have a whole bunch of stuff I want to accomplish so at the moment I'm not planning on having much of a social life.
I'm not sure the direction this blogs going to take. There will obviously be tons of poker stuff but there will also be semi-coherent ramblings about life and the like as well that you can skip if you'd like. There will definitely be more strategy and poker related entries in the future. Thanks and gl.
