The crisis, at this point, seems to have been examined correctly. That and I have done everything I could.
“One should never do wrong in return, nor mistreat any man, no matter how one has been mistreated by him.” – Socrates
“Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.” -Thomas Edison
38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
—Matthew 5:38–5:42 KJV

“The only thing that's been a worse flop than the organization of non-violence has been the organization of violence.” – Joan Baez
Honor seems to seldom be found around money. Money changing hands. Money changing mentalities. It’s a money making mentality.
Honor seems to only be found in those penniless endeavors. It also seems to be found in those extremely rare people who value one other person half as much as they value themselves.
I do not hear many values preached that would lead to somebody valuing people over money. I turn on the radio in the states and it seems every man in my country is seeking to inform me they have money, and that at that moment they are likely taking my bitch.
The bullying scene at the high school in the new Spiderman is so dated. No one uses their fists anymore. A currency is the greatest batterer amongst us.
I saw a TV show catering to teenagers recently. It was some pseudo Degrassi. In it one of the white girls laughs and says, “we’re so rich girls.”
Funny, I’ve never heard a white person say that. I’ve been around a lot of white people. White people want you to know about their ‘real’ roots. Nobody’s an American, they’re all from Scotland, Ireland, a bit Spanish, or something. Anything but real white.
Yes, they have money, but they did it all themselves. Every single one of them. No one had a leg up. Ever.
Who doesn’t have ADD anymore? Who didn’t have a rough childhood?
Everyone’s afflicted, but they overcame everything by themselves.
Or it's the addict's motto. "I'm a piece of shit...and somehow still the center of the universe."
It’s not money we’re after. It’s being defined as a successful person. Autonomous, unable to be reached by any system of government. A sorcerer, able to fetch anyone of the opposite sex. Not for mating though silly, for sexual frills followed by emotional toying. Snarky doesn’t begin to cover it.
I just don’t get it. All the weight in your words when you mimic value. The damned stress of every eye roll. I guess you think you are just that important.
Because nobody needs anything anymore…but themselves. And that car. And that place.
Everyone is their own deity. They acquired their holy possessions, and they did it through their own hard work!
The new spirituality always states it; we find God in ourselves. God is not just within us, it was created by us. Deep in our belly, there is the secret. If we just focus on it with all our positive thoughts, we can become it. We can all become Gods among the poor wretches. Fuck them. We are all the one and only star.
Once it was the Lord, Now it is the blessing;
Once it was His Word, Now it is the feeling;
Once I knew the Giver, Now the gifts I own;
Once I sought Himself, Now it is the healing and my “self” alone.
-Albert B. Simpson and Ravi Zacharias
