So its been a rough start to my 2011 goals,
I started out very confident in achieving my goal and determined to get of to a good start. The plan was to hit 5 figures in a month for the 2nd time ever but it looks like I will come up very short of this.
The first few days I started on a nice heater up close to 2k in 3days but since then went on a bad downswing and and kept running bad.
Because it takes 10k worth of rake b4 I get my 3k bonuses (30% rakeback) my online roll took a big hit and at 1 stage I was grinding the 11's which is a big difference than my usual 55's and 109's.
Outside of poker there really hasn't been much just pushing myself to get out of this rut.
My 2011 graph so far, the red line is my luck adjusted winnings ( the avg winnings I should be at) blue line is actual winnings + rakeback and bonuses and the green line is actual winnings



As you can see my profit is not on track for 100k a year with bonuses its at $2039 profit,
The sick thing about the graph is the $4283 difference in EV. So keeping that in mind I would usually be up $6322 this month and be on track for my goal.

TBH Im still very confident I will reach this goal its only 1 month in and the $6322 I should be up on avg is prob lower than it should be because of the amount of time I had to spend grinding the lower stakes. Well I am exited to start my 2nd year playing poker full time. And I thought it would be a good idea to record my journey this year to the 100K.

A bit about my poker journey so far:

I started 2010 labouring for a farm supplyier making $500 a week. Hard work in the heat. At the time a was making the same amount of money part time playing 45mans on Full Tilt. So I quit my job decided to take a shot at poker. http://www.pocketfives.com/f7/quit-m...lltime-537044/

Started out on a nice heater but soon struggled staying focused during the downswings. Not putting as much vol as I needed stopped enjoying poker.

The 45mans were coming to reg infested to make good money in, so i looked to start playing more MTT hopefully make enough money to continue playing poker.

So i downloaded party poker from advise to try European sites for MTT. With the intentions to make it in mtt. I played some 6max SNGs to try clear the deposit bonus got hooked on them and haven't looked back

I really enjoy the maths side to SNG's been working on my game and I fell like im one of the better 6max SNG players on Party.

So this leads us to 2011 im confident with my game and happy with my winrate atm. Going to make it big this year if I cant make at least 70K this year from poker ill quit and look to pursue another career.
