So the first day of me keeping updates of my progress was a huge success. I feel like my micro grinders thread gave some people motivation to go deep and do some work today and hopefully we all keep it up.
I made 3 final tables today the first one being at the very start of my session in the 6.50 super turbo KO where I ended up getting 4th for $581 when my AA were busted by 44 AIPF for the chip lead :( bad way to go out but a great start to the day. I then registered for a lot of the micros that I wanted to play in and had others ready to register for when they opened.
My second final table was the $3.30 cubed in which I made the final table middle of the pack and played really well to chip up to chip leader 6 handed. I then got ATo in the SB and it folded to me.. the bb had only 10 bbs so I put him all in and he woke up with JJ and he then was in 2nd and i was in 4th... 2 hands later on my CO i had AQs and shoved AIPF for like 17 bbs and the guy I just doubled up woke up with AK now to knock me out. Unfortunate 2 hands to go from chip leader to out in 6th for just under $100.. disappointing but it helped the roll for the rest of my sesh.
I had 3 other min cashes in between all these tournaments for like 20 or 30 bucks total which was nice to make a little extra money. I also satellited into the 50/50 in a $6.60 satellite which was nice and won a token in a $6.5 token frenzy so I played in the 50/50 and the 28k guaranteed.
Those were my 2 bigger buy ins of the day so I was really hoping to make something happen in these but got off to a rough start in both.
I was crippled to 350 chips in the 50/50 when i had 99 on a 553 board all in vs someone with 77 and they binked the turn... I then scrapped my way back up to the starting stack and actually made some moves to get up to about 8k in chips but went card dead and went out in 284th..
The 28k started the same way when a guy busted my AA by setting on me with 22 on a T72 rainbow board and i also came back in this one from 850 chips to get up to 10k only to go out later on when I made a button steal with 9Ts
The last final table I made was one of my last tourneys, it was a $5.50 freezeout and I was in the money as I was grinding out the last of my big buy in stacks.. I was short stacked (14/15) in it and made a shove from the button with A9 and got called by QJ and held so i was back up to 15bbs.. I then got 67s in the sb and shoved on a BB that had just less than my stack trying to steal and he woke up with TT... board ran out 98x5x and I got a huge sick suckout to get into 4th place.. Once at the final table I was card dead and picked my spots to just stay alive in the top 3 stacks and let the guy to my right just knock out stack after stack... HU I was in a 4 to 1 deficit and made a sick comeback to win the tourney for $798!
So I made about $1326 dollars today and now have a new bankroll to play with and can play more $11 dollars and try to get in more $26s everyday...
I will grind in the day tomorrow and then my gf and I are going on a trip to chicago for the weekend... good time for some extra money
GL at the tables!
