Just got back from Vegas a few days ago after bein there since Friday the 11th. I stayed with my closest friends in poker at Billy Kopps (Patrolman35) place in Henderson. Other guys that are living there are Croll103, I Spew Chips, Gutshtallin, his wife Kristin, Bonds252525, and frequently visiting Benvo123 and BLUEberLEEZ. All great guys and even better poker players. I mean just while I was there with only 2 sundays of play ISPEWCHIPS got 6th in the Stars Sunday 500, Croll103 2nd in 150r on ftp and ub early sunday 500 for 7th, Billy won the 2nd weeks 150r on ftp outright for 72k and UB monday 500 for 20k, Benvo got 3rd i believe in 2nd chance, and i added a 3rd in UB 200k and 8th in 1k Monday. These are just online tournies lol.
My live schedule started with 1k WSOP on the 12th and didnt go so well only lasting to level 3 where i busted qq < kk. Then the 2500 6 max on the 14th, got grindin down pretty quickly then doubled thru Menlo a7off > qjcc somehow only to bust out a few hands later for a good stack. Again this is 6max, utg raised, pokerstars female german pro flats with like 23 bigs to start hand (kinda fishy), i squeeze 99 in the sb, BB tank calls, utg folds, and pro reships (sigh). So bb had aa and pro tarped me with kk. I miss and am out of that tourney. On the 16th i played the 1500 WSOP and didnt even last one orbit. I won like 3/6 hands to start then I raise KJdd utg and get flatted by both blinds. Flop is 9dKc6d for top pair and flushdraw. Blinds check to me i bet 250 into 450, sb calls, bb rr to 750, i make it 2200 total, he jams and i call. He flips over AK lol and i fade all my outs to bust in the first orbit (Yawn).
Then my deep run in the 2k venetian on the 17th. To start you get 20k chips to start at 50/100 with hour blinds (great structure). 3rd hand of the tourney i flat a raise in position with 56ss. flop comes k34 rainbow. He leads i flat. Turn is 2 of diamonds bring backdoor diamonds and i hit the nuts. He checks, I bet, he repops for the checkraise. Somehow after a few rr we get all in on the turn and he flips over a5 for the wheel drawing dead to only a chop if a 6 hits river which it does not. So I double 3rd hand of the tourney lol good start. Well we go a few rounds and get to 100/200 and im still at liek 38k. Cutoff raises (a very cocky but still somewhat competent) I make it 1650 and he flats without much deliberation. Flop comes AsQs9s. I have AdKs for top pair and nutflush draw. I cbet he rr and we get it in. He had QQ for middle set and he turns a 9c to draw me dead (River woulda brought my flush too btw). After discussing this hand with a few ppl, I had a good convo with Frank "bluerberleez" Jordan. I def dont have to get it in here. It's obv a monster flop for me but by far the worst hand he is gettin here for such a large pot had to be AQ which im still a 55/45 dog. So gettin it in here def isnt my best option, but i think most standard. Even somehow i see turn and it pairs the board its actualyl possible to get away from since im never ahead of what he gets it in with on the flop. Idk i dont remember all the points he made but i dont think im good enough to not get it in on that flop.
So anyway back to the drawing board and back to a stack of 17k. From here to 600/1200 i grind a small stack literally. I never get over 30k during this or get called in an allin. Finally I get new table that has some very aggro guys and PBDrunks who was my first time meeting. Eventually i get to 36k thru reshipping aggro guys, and i pick up AKdd and win a race vs QQ. So now im up to 75k ish at 600/1200 and get moved again to the big stacks table and 1bigacehole and a kid named savepluto, both nice guys. I raise AdQs and get flatted by cutoff and bb. Flop came 1084 all diamonds. BB check i make it 6k and cutoff raises to like 18k, bb flats which looks huge, but i decide to play for stacks since im prob only one with flush draw and hoping that cutoff has jj or qq at the best so i have at least my aces to hit as well. I jam cutoff gets allin for same size stack and button tank folds and says he had middle set of 8s lol. Other guy has qq with the q of diamonds but i get there on the river when the 5 of diamonds hit. And just like that in one level im up to 180k from 30k at 600/1200.
Day 2 comes with 77 left, 36 pay, 160k to first, im sittin 7/77. New table has pbdrunks who busts fast via 2 outter, then im to the left of Jmaster130 a friend and a very good player. I build a very solid tight image and really get the respect of the table every hand i play with most c bets workin getting snap folds from the others. I 3bet jmaster a few times with the best hand i would assume each time so good folds to him. When finally we get involved in a bigger pot. We are both pretty equally big stacked in the blinds he raises at 200/400 where he makes it 9500 or so and i flat with 77. Flop came 975 he leads about 12.5k and i flat. Turn is a jack bring backdoor flush draw but im not to worried about that. Jmaster checks i bet 16k and he flats. River brings a 9 filling me up. Jmaster checks and i make it 31.5k and which point he goes into the tank. I hear him mumble this would be a sick hero call, at which point im praying he does make it lol. He folds bummer but i do scoop a nice pot without showdown. I get dinner with him and Petiebigstacks and he tells me he had aq high ha. Without being to long winded we get in the money and move tables this time jmaster gets my direct left...awesome. I open 1010 on the button and and he 3 bets me from sb were i pretty quickly move all in...he has about 25 bigs to start the hand, he makes the call and shows aj and i lose a big flip to be cl of my table with 25 left. Leaving me around 20 bigs. I end up reshoving an aggro kid who raises my bb from the sb and he tank calls with kq and i table aj. Flop q103 turn A! and i double back to 400k. At this point there are 14 left and i have jmaster, kjules, and snoowman at my table. After few lost pots here and there Kjules opens cutoff (he had been opening a ton), Snowman ships from the sb for about 23 bbs and i have about 29 bbs in the bb with 88 and im not folding. Kjules folds and Snowman flips A9 hh and kjules says he folded a9dd so that helps. FLOP is 765 2 hearts...dear god he turns the 10 hearts and im drawin dead for another huge flip that cost me the tourney. I won $9600 for the 14th but very sucky to end like that.
I played the 1k wsop the next day only to lose qq < kk for a 13k pot at 100/200. I'm allowed to play the Main Event if i can make it back but doesnt look good since im pretty much broke and have no money to fly there and back again. So sadly will prob have to wait to play my first main event till another year.
Didnt play a ton of online while i was there. Completely bricked my first sunday there, but did take 8th in the 1k monday on ftp the next day. Got coolered when i reshipped 20 bigs with aq and dipthrong woke up with ak behind me. Very disappointing again when it was my first ftp 1k final table...oh well i played good. Then the next sunday i made deep runs in the ub 100r to get 14th and then fted the Ub 200k for the 2nd time in my career. I fought as a small stack after gettin coolered with 2 tables left twice. I finally double a few times at the ft then I lose a10 < a8 aipf bvb to be tied for cl with what woulda been 4 left. I end up gettin 3rd when qj loses to k8. Was very dissapointed but what can ya do. 18k for that. Wed night i lost kk < jj aipf to be 3/11 of the stars 100r then lost a9hh < 66 to back to where i was. Super sucky. but again what can ya do.
Ill be playin a lot again and ready for another fun sunday this weekend. Sorry it had been a long time since last blog and the length of this one but hope someone enjoys.
