  1. Most of this past week I've been reading on my books/magazines to refresh any ideas that I may have forgotten and to keep my volume low for this week. When I say low, I'm not joking! I played a total of 6 STT's this week at the $10+$1 level. I felt confident going in to these SNGs and came out with a bigger confidence in my play as I went back through hold em manager and reviewed certain hands.

    RESULTS

    4 First place finishes

    1 Second place finish

    1 Seventh place finish

The seventh place finish is just me tilting from a previous hand from the same guy that felted me. I'm to not happy about the place and actually leave the hand history in a window so anytime I feel like doing something stupid, I look at it.

I viewed my second place finish as a simple standard spot being really short stacked with 6-7BB HU. We were heads up for about 6 hands at that point and he was playing exactly how he should..ATC

  2. I'd have to say my biggest leak in my game is BR management/tilting resulting in bad BR management. I start getting a bad run of cards having KK < Ax blah blah blah, that's poker and I need to man up and get over it. I tilt to higher BI MTT's and cash games (which online cash games is definely -EV for me). I've set up guidelines to for myself from this day on.

My BR is sitting at ~$650. Its not a pro/protected bankroll and i seem to do very well in $10+$1 STT so I plan on playing these until i get up to ~$1000 before moving up. If I can't stay honest to myself and stick to this plan, obviously I'm not disciplined enough to try and make poker a major source of income.

GL to all, and wish me luck! I'll keep this updated as often as possible with my results and mental status.

EDIT: This isn't a "turn $xxx into $XXXXX" challenge. This is me simply trying to fix my game and bad habits of poker. I found that venting/talking about what I'm doing, even if no one really even reads this, helps me stay focused and pin point situations that cause me to tilt to higher BI games.
