  1. I was having a conversation with a friend the other day, and we got on the subject of how bad we were when we first started playing poker. It was actually pretty hilarious talking about the god awful plays we used to make. At the same time I kind of felt good that I had made progress from where I was about four years ago.
It has really stayed on my mind though. I couldn't help but think about playing against myself from back then now. Or a year ago , or even me from two months ago. It got me thinking about how we are poker players owe it to ourselves to be insatiable. No matter how good or bad our results are we should constantly push ourselves to be come better players. Even the people that play for entertainment only. I know when I go to the gym to play ball I take pride that I'm on of the better players there , even though The Lakers aren't knocking down my door to fill a roster spot.
Lately I know I haven't pushed myself like I should. In the last couple of weeks I've probably opened pokerxfactor once and cardrunners maybe three times. I've also not even played 1/4 of what I usually do. I really hope this will light a fire under me again. I hope that in a month , I look back at me today and chuckle at how easily I'd beat the person that wrote this today.
