  1. Well, I made money so I won't complain but I'm disappointed. I should have quit after my first 8 days of the month. The only significant cashes this month:

    FTP PLO $216 - 9.2k

    FTP NLH $22 Re - 8.2k

    FTP PLO $33 Re - 3.3k

The first two cashes were within the first 8 days. I was all down hill after that. Lots of close calls though:

    FTP NLH $55 Re - 13th (Saturday/Double Guarantee week) AQ<KK

PS NLH $55 Re - 11th (Saturday prize pool) AQ<A6

    Cake Weekly NLH $162 10th (QQ<KK)

    UBOC PLO $216 Re - 22nd

Those are the ones I recall, there were a few FT bubbles in the Stars $33 and $109 cubed tournaments.

    Cash games:

I've started playing PLO8 6 Max cash games as my tournaments wind down to keep me occupied. I made almost 4k from that so it was a big help and most of my monthly profit :(. I was looking at my HEM stats and I'm a loser at the game on Stars and winning on FTP and AP. I've definitely made some bad plays and tilt on Stars during those games and too many hero calls. I turned off my chat yesterday so I wouldn't let that distract me from the games (because it does) and I enjoyed playing much more yesterday. I'll just keep the chat off for now and put it on for a FT or if I see someone from forums or whatever. Speaking of hero calls.....I made one which I knew I shouldn't have and my GF was in the room and I told her " That was stupid....I just made a hero call I shouldn't have". And she told me "Rule #17 Don't be a hero".......(we had just watched Zombieland the night before)......

Fucking rule #17. I'll have to keep that in mind more often for February.....gl all....

  2. I've been looking forward to this UBOC PL Championship. You switch between Pot limit: Holdem, Omaha, and PLO8. Just an awesome mix and the first and only time I've seen this type of tournament. I wish this was a regular thing. Anyway, I busted late before ITM in PLO.

    Shorthanded:

    Villain: XXXX

    Hero (BB): AJ103

Villain limps EMP and blinds complete:

Flop A27r and checks to Villain who takes a bit and bets pot. To me this is weak. I would expect strong Aces to raise pre (especially shorthanded). I feel the player is weak and it's a good spot to put pressure on and obviously I have outs if he does have aces up. I check raise PSB. And he tanks and shoves the rest over the top, it's only a few BB's more and I call and he shows 2357r lol. This is exactly the kind I have in his range. And considering he had 15bbs left after his bet he could and should fold bottom two with only a gutter redraw. The turn makes Q, I need A,Q,J,K,10 or 3 and can't find any of those cards. FML and I'm out a couple of hands later.

Unfortunately this led me to tilt the PLO8 cash games that I was playing concurrently. First by calling off 400$ river bet and then shoving over hella action with AJ43hh and then just running bad. I still made a couple hundred playing cash and my "EV" was way higher so I kind of ran bad. But I threw away 600-900$ from losing my mental focus. Some times not caring about the money is good because it lets you take risks you need and pick up good spots in MTT ITM bubbles. But not caringalso can be bad as in when you tilt it off.

    Mission for today: Stay COOL!!!

  3. So I played the $162 8 Game which is was looking forward to. Unfortunately I busted during PLH. I got it AIPF with QQ only to see AA stare me down. Fock. The field was soft but that is poker. Not much to report lately, lots of break even days and plenty of deep runs but not deep enough of course. I like the spots I'm getting myself into and I'm sure if I keep my play up I'll win those flips and have the hands hold when I need to. Maybe I'll even suckout when it counts!!
