  1. I started a poker blog a few weeks ago for the purpose of self evaluation. I figure I'll move it here because my some poker players will read it and give constructive feedback at times. I usually try and evaluate how I played for the day in each blog.

    Yesterday:

I probably broke even. I can clearly remember two mistakes from yesterday:

One was a NLHE hand where we were already ITM and there were 3 limpers and I shoved with AK. I got called by a JJ to act after me. I shoved 24 BBs or so when I should have maybe just put a 4x raise in. If JJ raises I'm probably going with but if he flats and others day I can get away from the hand with 20 BBs left or maybe less if it flops heads up as I would put in a C-bet and then fold.

Second was PLO and I held K,Q,10,9 and the flop was Q,9,4 rainbow. We are five handed to the flop and 2nd to act makes PSB. I put him on top two and reraised PSB hoping I was freerolling more outs than him but he shoved with trip 9s. In retrospect I could have just flatted or even folded this hand, such a strong bet in early position by a guy who hasn't been active at all I should have just let it go as I had plenty of chips. Made it to 3rd in this tourn and lost a race for 2nd.

    Today:

Find the fold button more often in PLO. Bet out your draws and definitely more preflop raises. GL2um8!!
