For those people who have replied to my blog, I have played for over 2 years, taken lessons from a highly respected Sit and Go instructor and to me, it doesnt make sense to grind for 2-3 years and not even show a profit despite studying ICM and getting instructions!

Hey i saw this and then i read your other blogs sir. Whatever you do don't give up as i know exactly how you feel right now. You just have to play through it and take a look at some HH's and hit the books.

I like to play sng's, but im not very good at them LOL. But i use them to help with my Mtt game that sux as well!!! Mtt's might be the way to go for you.

This is a poker forum so obviously everyone is going to tell you that poker is great and that you just need to take a break. Well honestly poker is not for everyone, at least on a serious level. Actually poker is probably bad for about half of the people on this site, whether it is because they lose money, go on life tilt because of poker losses or simply just spend too much time on the game and damage relationships and friendships.

You have given it your best try, hired a good instructor and it just didn't happen for you. Hey I spent a few months trying to learn Chinese, but I'm horrible at languages and I tried my best and literally learned nothing and after a while I realized that this isn't for me and went onto other areas where I could succeed. It is good to challenge yourself in life, but it is not good to constantly bang your head against a wall. Play once or twice a month with friends or at a local casino and you will have a lot more fun and have a better chance to win money playing against other casaul players

Get off of any site that has a BET POT button. For sngs, that totally ruins the game.

everyone hits downswings in sngs. my suggestion is to lower the amount of tables and practice table selection.

I know EXCATLY how he feels!!!! Check my history. I used to make at least 1-3 final tables EVERY MONTH FOR 3 YEARS! I've lost with the pair over pair 9 / 10 times average for key pots in BIG TOURNEYS for the last 3 months. ANOTHER BROKE ASS / BREAK FOR ME. Now I get to dwell on what I could have spent a $4000 cold streak on. No rent money, back to the streets again. Maybe I will run into snoop again.................................

Playing for 2 years and you can't beat a 1 dollar sitngo you better quit poker for good.

Poker is a bitch, poker is a beast, but if you believe you have skills then stick with it and start grinding low-mid stake mtt tournies with 100-200 people (not turbos). Maybe read some books or join a training site. This game is not easy, it takes dedication, br management and self discipline.

Maybe you should try playing 20 sit n gos a day for awhile instead of 60 and see if it helps your results.
