  1. It has been a crazy week for me and my family. On Tuesday night around 7 p.m. I went into the hospital with some stomach pains. By midnight or so the doctors discovered that I needed to have my appendix removed.

Surgery was set for 10:30 the following morning, and until right now (Friday, 4 p.m.) I have been unable to sit up much at all, which has completely rulled out any poker, especially any poker that would take any amount of time.

It's kinda sad how much time I spent in the hospital bed thinking about when I could play cards next, but it really did help me appreciate how easy it has been for me to play in the past.

While I still can't remain seated for long periods of time I am hoping by Monday to be back at my regular day job as well as back to playing cards to my fullest ability.

  2. I just got off a great rush of poker where I could do no wrong for a week in the 180 mans on Poker Stars (mostly the 11+1's). My AK held up every time versus AQ, and when I needed to double up I would push with JJ and get called by A6 and the better hand would hold up. In a span of seven 180-man tournaments I cashed four times, making three final tables, including a 1st, 2nd and 4th. I felt like I was on cloud nine.

Flash forward a few days and all the was good with poker went the wrong way. My AK lost to AQ, my JJ would lose to A6, and I just could get nothing going. I have not cash in 12 straight 180 mans, including finishing on the bubble in two straight tournaments.

    Yea yea, I know...varience.

Hopefully I can turn this around soon.
