  1. Everyday when I'm riding home from my 9-5 all you hear is how bad the economy is. I don't doubt that we're having a bad time of it in the US and yes globally. I sometimes wonder if the radio, paper, and internet media aren't just drumming up business. All this talk about how bad the economy is also makes me think about when I sign on, and there are never any issues with SNGs filling up and MTTs rarely offer an overlay(at least on pokerstars). So, here's my question. How's the poker economy doing? Too me, it seems that the poker economy is humming right along. I'm sure a true gauge will be when the WSOP kicks off this summer. It will be interesting to see how the field sizes are compared to past years. What does everyone else think? I'll admit I'm not playing B&M as much. Are they seeing a downturn in poker revenues? Anyway back to the tables for me, gotta work on improving my roi. Take care and gl at the tables.

  2. I've been wanting to post this for a while, better late than never. Here are some of my poker goals.

    1.) Keep family first.

2.) Have a positive roi on OPR.

3.) Get better at bank roll management. This will obviously help number 2.

4.) Find out how the hell to improve my late stage MTT play. This is really a big one for me, can't seem to crack this code. Any helpful hints for late stage play would be appreciated.

5.) Be an ambassador for poker, take my bad beats without berating my fellow players, and give bad beats humbly and graciously.

One update, I did win the .25 Bronze Star mtt on stars that had 3,294 players. The 118.00 was a nice return on my 25 cent investment. It was a great feeling having supporters from pocketfives, when there were two tables, and not disappointing them. Hopefully variance is going to be good to me and I can run my br and roi up. Will let you know what I set my br guides at and how it's going at the tables. gl at the tables.

  3. Some would say I should not have been in this hand. My stack was about 10x BB, should I shove pre flop? Should I fold on the flop? Your constructive criticism is appreciated.
