  1. Yep, I'm back. I decided to play one of these to see how I'd do. 2259 People had entered this tourney. I was doing ok at first til the blinds got astronomical after the first break. I entered the break at 9th, and just dropped like a rock cause I didn't get any cards at all

But when it was all said and done, I fought til I got 98th place. Not too bad considering. Though some reading this are probably like oh wow a whole .39 cents. But you have to realize, some of us don't have an unlimited income here, and can throw money left and right on tourneys.

I'm sure if I had money on sites, I would do the same thing, but I don't currently. What I think of this is, is practice for bigger and better things. Last nite being in the 90 man, tonite being in a field of 2k+ and getting down to less than 100.

All I have to do is pace myself, be very disciplined in the games that I play, and then I can make something outta nothing.

  2. Well usually when I do big MTT's, it's only freerolls, but tonite I just decided why not give a go at a 90-man.

So I decided to enter the 1+.10 or .20 I forget which... Turbo NL Hold'em SnG. Though I didn't cash, I got down to 25th, which for me, was a big accomplishment.

With a bit more training myself in a few of the maybe 18 mans, or try for one of the 1k guarentee ones, I could prolly take home at least some cash.

I usually only do 1 table SnG's or just cash games, when it comes to playing with some dough, but who knows... maybe this could be the start of something better.

  3. You know, I've been playing online for a bit. It seems that one of my lil pet peeves has always been if I end the day on an odd note.

What I mean is that I hate seeing stuff like 13.27... or 45.83... I always have to goto a table until I have an even amount of cash.

Meaning anywhere in the .25's... I just don't like having odd numbers, and it just kills me, and I think to myself all the time, "Dang it. I have to get it to the next dollar or lose .23 now before I get to sleep."

Although the money managing like that is a bit strange to some, to others they also just play that odd number the next day. Call it an OCD for me.

But I bet a lot more than not tend to do this as well. They take their extra .20 some odd cents and hit the lowest possible table and either try and make something out of it or lose it.

But of course, that tends to just be at the micro stakes. Perhaps some also do it at the higher stakes as well, getting it to the nearest 5$ amount instead.

But never short change yourself, in whatever you do. Whether it be poker or anything else. Always believe in yourself, and you will surprise maybe even yourself.
