  1. Cashed out most of my bankroll a while back, partly because it was before Christmas and partly because of some of the posibilities that the UIGEA stuff was back in focus. I had very little money left in the account and I knew I sucked at HU so I played lots of 2 dollar HU sngs. I think HUs help your game overall and its a great way to deal with tilt cause you don't have to be overly patient.
Fast forward a little and I'm back up to 6 tabling 25nl now and running at 3.88bb/100 over 6k hands. BB/100 would be alot higher had it not been for 1 really bad day on Dec 4 in which 5 buyins were lost over a bad tilt session. Tommy Angelo says "to win at poker, you have to be very good at losing"- by this he was refering to not playing on tilt. I will agree that is one of the best quotes I have ever heard and it applies really well to this month for me at poker. That Dec 4 day cost me several days of profit and I won't forget it. Anything besides my A game is tilt and I should not play any further. I've read alot about the mental part of the game and its going to stay the primary focus for me in the forseeable future.
12/1 - 12/17 money won without showdown is going up consistently, 3bet percentage at 5.25 need to get that up. 19/11 AF 2.
Tried some 6max with just 2 tables and did well making about 3 buyins one day, mainly just trying it out in cash to see how it went..
Quit smoking and I swear it is helping my play. Remission is problably the better word cause I have smoked for many years and quit quite a few times. Smoking I think definetly affects heart rate and mental ability cause you need that fix at some point.
KK is my favorite hand here lately with over 100 bucks made on it here recently. Best profit hands this month KK,88,AA,Aqo,JJ,KQo,KJs,Aqs,ak, and my personal fav 22. Alright now the worst hands of the month and ones to be more careful with 77,99,k5o,64s,j9o,qq,75s,a7o,qts.
    Areas to work on
    1. Follow the gut, especially if it mentions out of the blue the exact cards the opponent may have.
    2. BB - losing chunks of money there and showing profit in all the other positions
    3. 2 buyin loss limit - no more playing for the day
    4. Review hands - spend more time looking at the good and the bad.
    5. Sit out watch others play- try to figure out what they have.
    6. Enjoying the game-have fun and lose the negativity.

    GL at the tables, Rusty

  2. I've been doing a lot of 6 tabling and decided to try a little 8 tabling while cascading the windows then went back to using the tiles. Man I'm no expert at that, but I managed 8bb/100. Ryan Daut's playing 20 tables at 1/2 which is something to watch.
Cut into the profit a few times the last few nights with some bluffs attempted while a flush was on the board. Did that even after having put a big sign on my monitor saying "NO BLuffing. Back to PT3, tried HEM and its a good program thought I was going that route but I changed my mind.
Somebody mentioned that P5s was like stirring a ANTHILL -ha, I don't think anyone could have used a single word to define it any better. P5ers bring out alot emotion on both sides of most any issue.
KJs - that hand is so hard to let go of when a King is on a rainbow board, I played it and got caught up a little to much in the hand, villian shows AK and takes down a mediocre sized pot.
Had a hand of interest the night before where I had a set of 3s on the flop, I bet preflop, close to pot on flop and then opponent bet 2/3 pot on turn when the flush came. I tossed the hand because my gut told me I was beat. After giving some more thought today I think it was a mandatory call there. 30% chance to hit fullhouse, odds were there to call. Bad Fold.
One of these days I gotta start looking into rakeback. UB is throwing the offer out there to me, I have not been back to the site since all the scandals started. I don't care what anybody says Hevad Khan was a riot to see on the 2007 wsop, they ruined it by making a rule to calm him down. Bullllldozzzzzzzzzer arrrggghh. Oh yeah I watch all the Honeymooners episodes thats good stuff.
AC/DCs playing DC on Nov 15! Can't wait. GL at the tables.

  3. Been playing alot and kind of overdoing it. 3-4 tables FR and I've been ignoring table selection until now. If I'm at a table thats kickin my ass time to get up and move on, putting a stop loss at about 10 and will see how that works out. Tiltmonster visited after I suffered some bad beats, along with a week of statistical variance and the good ole VPIP started to rise. I've been trying to play pretty tight but I'm going back to bringing it back up to what I like which is a tad on the high side.Want to do it to get some value for my strong pairs.
Holdem manager is my new friend, I'm a big fan of it. PT3 has great features too but its time to move on. 18 bb/100 currently in holdem manager would have been higher if a board with 346 and me with QQ did not get beat by KK. I had layed down QQ earlier to the same person 38/3 when the board came KK9 which I believe was a bad laydown, actually I ran out of time and thought I had more time. Called a opponent who was doing some crazy shit who bet 3.50 preflop, he eventually went allin on the river I had AJ and won he showed 35 that felt good.
Need to slow it down vs these opponents who are raising me when I have top pair everybody is out there set mining and I'm getting dinged on occasion there.
I seem to play better when I blog so I'm going to get back to it more.
    Goals
    1. Slowdown - take some time to figure it out
    2. Stop loss - get up from a table when loss gets up to 10
    3. Table Selection- keep an eye on the stats go for the fish
    4. hand reading - still poor at this
    5. No bluffs - no hardcore bluffs, I'm not afraid to get it allin way to crazy when a board shows a flush.

Any 25NL players out there who want to talk about hands discuss strategy PM me, I'm a big believer you cant do it all yourself everyone has ideas and strategy that will help your game and see it in a diferent way.
