  1. Well, I just bombed out in 4th in an MTT for a $7.65 cash. I made a whopping mistake by misreading my hand. I glance up and thought I had flopped a straight, so my heart started pumping... while my brain forgot it was there to do the counting. My heart does not know that 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 does not make a straight, apparently. Problem was the blood-lust choice had taken over before my brain kicked in, completely horrified by the erroneous nature of my all-in. So, the gutshot missed me completely as I sat there in disbelief. I think I could hear the mocking hee-haws of the other players through the intertubes.

It's a newbie mistake and I should have double-checked. I now have it writ large on my wall along with all the other dumb mistakes of the past couple of months. On the bright side, better to make such mistakes and learn from them at low levels, rather than for 'serious' money.

    $56.64 atm

  2. so. was hovering between $20 - $27 dollars, going up and down, but finding my feet.

so last night i made final table of this tourney i like playing. previously, i had been bombing out in the bubble for the proper money. last night looked good but got totally stomped by the blinds... had 12k chips b4 the final table, pay 1.6k blind then the sb, plus antes, then next hand is on the final table and guess what? I'm big blind, card dead, same on the sb, about 4k chips til i get q/j suited, 9 outs to double up.... but place 9th...

but actually making that final table was more important than the money finish. it was about breaking a psychological barrier. i had got close before, but close is not enough, right?

reminds me of that dude with the spider, try, try again.
so i played the same tourney tonight, but i was playing better. the reason i was playing better was using what I had learned last night, and knowing I could do better.
    so I made 1st place :)

key hand that stacked me was a/k vs a/x nyprincess kept betting into me and when i got bumped to the final felt i got pocket rockets first hand. the final hand i spiked a q on the turn to make my set and the french dude pushed all-in. insta-call. i did offer to chop the money when i was short stack, but he said, eau nau....

    so $44 at the mo

which is now $50.62.... after a quick 2nd of 18 sng. sorry, doyle i have played my run 4 tonight... but i need some sleep

  3. am up to $26.92...

    rollin rollin...
