I know PTP has it's detractors but I've had no issues with the site or stakers to date. I just completed a 100 game stake at the .25 level. It took me a little over a month to complete and I turned the 5.55 into $21.
That got me an invite to a second level stake. I was really shocked to see a $5.55 blossom into a $55.00 stake. Again I am to run 100 games or until I go bust before the stake ends. The parameters are to play 1.10 45 and 90 sngs and 2.20 90 man or 2.20 and under mtts. This should take me around a month to complete since I can't play during the weekdays and my evenings and weekends are filled with watching my daughter. I can typically play 2-4 games a night between the hours of 9:30 pm to 1 am.
I am very excited about this stake because for starters, it keeps me very disciplined with my bankroll management. Bankroll management has been an issue for me, so the guidelines in place with stakes seem to keep me in line. The stake also has me keeping a log of what I am playing and gets me to review my swing hands. Lastly, if i continue to profit and money for my backer; the stakes and buy-ins will increase, so that eventually I could build a proper roll and potentially make some substantial side income.
For now, I'm just grateful to have the opportunity to play, have fun and improve my game. I have problems keeping up with a blog and I have noticed that I typically don't write while going through a downswing. Hopefully, I can minimize the downswings, keep my positive attitude up, play well and update this blog.
