  1. Haven't written in while but I doubt I have a following since I'm not Cre8tive lol

anyway, took christmas break off to spend time with friends/ family and recharge from poker. this week I have started grinding again without much success. Mostly PLO tournys and cash. It's always wierd to feel like your running good when you win a 70/30,80/20 on the river.(I have the 70/80). Played well in the tournys I feel, just running into suckouts. With all the success I had in December PLO tounys, I feel like I was lulled into a state of tranquillity as to how difficult these low-mid stakes tournys are. There are just so many players, and so many bad players, you have to play perfect and still get lucky enough not to run into bad luck. I will review my hands and see how I could have played them better/different but will keep grinding away.

Hope blogging will get my success going again.

    See you on the felts,

  2. Well the last 2 days of MTT have been my most successful. On Sunday I placed 2nd in the 3k PL HA on FT and today I won the 3500 PLO KO and came in 6th in the 3k HA. The PLO win was my biggest to date and my first 4 figure cash so I was on top of the world. That is, until I final tabled the HA.

This is 2 nights in a row that I was chip leader heading into the final table. Chip leader when it was down to 6 players so I expected myself to finish this 1 off. Lost 3 hands in a row and I was out of the tourny. Lost 100k pot KJ<QQ, but I was still chip leader with like 110k. Bet pot on button with A7, BB pushed with KJ and he won. He had 8bb left when he pushed. So i was down to 70k and was still 3rd in chips. I guess the table thought I was steaming, because when I reraised with J998, guy shoves with A489. He had me covered by about 8k. Steaming or not, that is a horrible play to call off all your chips with A489 but hey, thats way the cards fall.

Even though I had a very successful couple days and my biggest win, I still feel like a failure. Well, not a failure, but like I didn't live up to my abilities. Is that good or bad? I fully expected to win the HA tonight as well as last night. Its just very difficult to have a chance to win MTT that when you are so close and don't finish it off, whether it be because of a suckout or bad play or you got tired, whatever the case may be, you just sit back and wonder what could have been.

Alas I digress, I'll be back tomorow grinding out the PLO tournys. Anyway, 3 final tables in 2 days is definalty good and gives me the confidence to keep doing it again.

  3. I hope everyone got a chance to watch the 60 minutes segment on the UB/AP cheating scandal. It was well done and gave credit to the players who brought out the scandal. To all the players who took it upon themselves to show what was going on, everyone in the poker community is indebted to you.

I don't play on those sites but what is scary is that it looks like any site can succumb to this kind of scandal. I hope the other major sites would take this very seriously if this were to happen to them because AP/UB definatly did not take action soon enough. Personally, I would boycott those sites, not just because of what happened but also because of the way it was handled.

Although poker as many times been frowned upon by the public, there has to be accountability within the poker community.

let me know what you think...
