I have been playing online poker for about a year now, however I just recently started to play very seriously. I have had monerate success at the low stakes but realize that my game needs alot of improvment. For the last 3 three I have played around 10k hands and increased my BR about 300%, however with my BR starting low it still isn't much. Most of my gains have been from cash games, 25NL and ST SNGs.

I have always like tournament poker and watching the FTOPS recently made me want to become a better tourny player. One thing I have realized is that tourney and CGs are completely different because I havent had the same success in tournys that I do in the cash games. If anyone would like to talk tourny strategy PM me.

Phil Ivey says the only way to get better is to put in the hours. I already see my game improving so that is prabably what I am going to have to do with tournys, just play more until I find something that works. What I have realized is the importance of BR management. I used to get 500 and play .50/1, and eventually bust. Now, even with my BR above the 500 mark I am still play 25NL and seeing positive results.

This is hopefully the first of many post as I will use this blog to track my progress as well as hopefully finding people to help me improve my game.

Goals for week...

1. Play 100 SNGs with a 60% cash rate

2. Improve my cash game returns

3. Cash in 3 mtts.
