Ahhhh, confession time. I lost $394 on Sunday. I played bad, really bad, monkey spew bad.
I am happy that I have somewhere to confess. Hopefully I will learn from my mistakes and not make them again.
Lesson #1: focus at the tables, don’t tilt, if I am playing badly get up and leave.
Lesson #2: NEVER put on a squeeze play at 1/2NL live.
Tbh, I already know both these things but they just need (more) reinforcing. I would really like to be able to look back in a months time and say “I controlled my tilt last month” and “I did not attempt one squeeze play at 1/2 NL”. Honestly, if I can do those two things alone I will win. 1/2NL live at star city is the biggest joke of a poker game that exists. I could probably win by folding every single hand and just jamming AA and KK.
When I start full time I think I will be mixing up live and online play. As I said in my last post I can grind out a good hourly rate playing live but I have struggled to make decent money online. Basically this is because online is tougher and honestly I need to get better. I have been running hot at the $11 HUSNGs on FT the last few days. I think they will become part of my daily routine. Maybe I will do online from 9-11, get lunch or w/e and then play at the casino in the afternoon (its only 15 minutes drive).
Two weeks of work left til I begin full time…
Summary stats for live play: +327 over 30 hours
