Celebrating my 5 day wedding anniversary today!! :) The wedding itself was held on the ouskirts of Vilnius, in a cool old style building.. We didn't have many option since we decided we didn't want a religious ceremony, but this building kicked ass over having it at town hall.. It rained all morning, but 1 hour before the wedding started, the sun came out to greet us.. Was a quick and wonderful ceremony with some close friends and family that made the long trip out here.. The reception was held in Trakai, a cool old style place with some castles and lakes.. We partied from 5pm to 6am.. The band was great, as was the DJ who came on after midnight! Much love and good spirits around..
I had to take about a 3 week break from poker.. Luckily right before I stopped, I was given a free $25 on partypoker and ran it up to $5k before cashing out and swapping a small amount.. This basically paid for my wedding.. :) As those that know me, I have been focusing primarily on mixed cash games before the wedding plans got more serious and family made it to town.. In September I plan to continue the mixed cash, throw in some sngs, and also play about 5-10 events of WCOOP.. I haven't been playing many tournaments in the past couple of years, but know I will be able to make the adjustment to deep stack and slow blind structure the WCOOP offers.. My choices are limited because I no longer live in the US, so a 1pm tourney on stars starts at 8pm my time.. I will not be able to play any of the evening tournaments.. I have had a great poker year, and look forward to a promising September.. There is an off-chance I might go to London for some of the WSOP Europe, but that depends on a few factors including my planned trip to the US in October for a few weeks for a wedding party there, some travel, and finally our honeymoon..
Thanks for reading, will update if anything memorable happens in WCOOP! :)
