  1. Well i have decided to take a few weeks off in light of the recent turn of events. 1st there was hurricane Gustov that ended my chances of playing in Bilox's $1,000 buy-in event.

Then i also missed two weeks of work when i drove back to Illinois for the bad weather as well. So now im back in New Orleans and after running really bad on Sunday; I decided to once again go on a leak plugging regimen of my poker game.

So far i am very pleased to report that everyone should see a major improvement in my Mtt game as soon as i return next month; As well as the fact that i will attempt to qualify for more Sunday majors as well. I plan on hitting alot more (sat) tournies as i have really gotten away from them.

I also feel that my game time decisions will contain a lot less donkaments than before. I have also been working on pushing and calling ranges; As well as hand reading and player read and image dynamics at the table as well.

So far i feel that Oct. will be a very good month for me in poker. I also plan to play more volume playing on Poker Stars,Fulltilt and Bodog Poker as well. I often feel that i am losing alot of needed volume by playing on one site.

As far as my bankroll goes i am pretty well off as far as money for poker goes! I just need to start running deeper in Mtt's and opening up my game; As well as making the correct game time decisions.

October will be month number 10 of my MTT battle; As this is my 1st year of serious mtt play and with over $19,000 in winnings so far. I would very much like to finish 2008 with over $50,000 in cashes; And i only have two months to do so! So let's see what happends and wish me the best!!!!!

    Will

  2. Wow this is my first post since my last post. It seems kinda funny because i really got out of my circle last month.
I was also only able to cash one tournament last month as well. I have been pretty busy with work so i am unable to play 4 weekends a month anymore. I am also limited in the volume that i can play in Mtt's as well.

So right now i have just been trying to hit the smaller buy-in events; And get in as many hands as possible to work on my Mtt game. Although i had a rather shit month last month, I feel a little better about how my game seems to be coming along.

I also decided to start a new poker book called KILL EVERYONE after reading the Harrington Series for around 3 years now. The game has really changed and it's really really getting tuff out there. But this goes back to an old saying that i got from my best friend and Father!

"It's the same old soup they just keep stirring it up"! And my father is 100% right in what he said; And with this thought in mind i will continue to play solid poker, while staying current with the different styles and moves that have evolved.

Above is a picture of one of my girls TIA McCoy who is 9 years old right now. She along with my other 3 are by far the smartest little trio i know. I bought this one a lap top with some of my winning from June. Also my family came down to see me last month as well here in New Orleans; So i didn't play for a whole week when they were here as well.

I did a lot of unusual drinking and staying up late and shit. You all know how it is when family comes down. Everything comes to a stop; And they got 100% of my attention. It's really been a task working here in N.O and being away from friends and family; But at the same time god has blessed me and my family as well.

Myself like others seem to get side tracked sometimes and it really starts to affect the way you play poker. This month i plan to play alot smarter and i plan to open my game up as well. I also plan to do a lot more homework away from the table; And not just by reading poker books.

I recently purchased SNG tools as well as a membership to a training site, just to stay current with the game and the new styles of play. So hopefully i can calm my game down a bit, view a few hands in Poker Tracker. And with a little luck and solid play i can take one of these things down!!!!!

  3. Well i figured that i might as well start to blogging somewhere along the way here on P5's. I have now been

playing Mtt's for just about 8 months now; And so far i have been able to rack up right around $19,000 in

winnings. The funny thing about poker is that just when you feel your good; You can always go back a few

months and see how much you have improved up until the present. WHich tells me and should tell the rest

of us, that you can always get better and better.

It seems to me that alot of players miss out on this point; And therefore become satisfied with their results.

Therefore in the long run as the game evolves they lose plenty of +EV and the results often will go southward.

I am however a proclaimed student of the game; And therefore my results will only get better as i

continue to push myself. I thought long ago that poker was merely a game of waiting on the cards to

come. Even now i am so amused with my previous way of thinking.

And with this being said i can only ask that whoever reads this; Should keep a fine eye on me, my game and results!!!
