  1. Friday in New Orleans,LA and my first session with 4 Mtt's to start lasted roughly 6hrs; With me busting out in 10th place of PokerStars 4K 1000 cap tourney. I really wanted to final table this thing today but fell just a hair short "no biggie"! I ended up dropping all for of my mtt's in my second session of the day due to lack of focus and distractions. Anyway i guess i will review this deep run and that $1.00 hee haw fest and see if i can tweak a few things. I have really been playing much better and now i feel that i am getting somewhere; As i am not just trying to get deep or make the money anymore. Now when i play it's like i can't wait to get close to the bubble so i can raise every hand, build a stack and chip up or go home. For the first time in a long time i really feel like i am in control!!!!!!

  2. And so i cashed 3 out of 10 mtt's yesterday ,with two final tables and one big run in the PokerStars.com $1.00 4K. have The tournament had a field size of 5687 runners; Which means you have to win to make any real money. Wee ll anyway i ended up busting out in 14th place losing a massive 1,000,000 chip pot; When i raised K9o from the cut-off and was flatted by a 15bb stack with around 500K. Blinds were nose bleed high and when i 3-bet jammed the calleK-8-5 rainbow he snap called with 88 the rest is history!

I plan to do some HH review early today after i run my 1st session; As i have to remember that even though it's on 7 or 8 more bb's to call or shove! I need to understand when your that deep and with blinds that high; You have to be aware of the stack %'s of your play. Anyway i won a $2.20 90 man and shipped another before spending 7 hours in the super HeHaw fest. Overall i loved the way i played last night for session 2; But i have a lot of tweaking to do if im going to run deep in higher buy-ins.

Like i said "getting laid off from work and having to play micros is the best thing that has happend to my game";I am learning a lot playing at these stakes and the lessons are a whole lot cheaper. Also i was able to put together a nice little resume, and now i have a backer and in my case comes at the best time. As long as i continue to work hard on my game flow; And put up good results and positive ROI%'s i will be fine. Backers are nice to have when your laid off from work LOL.

Well anyway it's time to TID!!!

  3. I never ever thought or knew that a toothache could really #1. affect your poker game and #2. Make you think about grabbing your 357 and ending it all right now! Well for the past two weeks, or whenever it was i was running deep in everything i touched! I noticed that i was having a sharp pain in my mouth that would come and go. Well another week went by and the pain grew worse and worse; To the point i was starting to tilt away huge chip stacks and drop many entries into the large field micro's and rebuys. Well after close observations i notice the filling in my lower rear wisdom tooth was gone; And it seemed like the pain would grow worse and worse to the point of me wanting to commit suicide LOL.

Well not only was my mouth hurting my results have been hurting as well; And i never really could put my down swing and the pain together. Not to mention as well that my bankroll took a major hit also after playing so well before the pain started. So like a wise man i decided to make a dentist appointment and get the tooth pulled or fixed. Well once i arrived i was told the tooth was beyond saving and would have to be removed. So i had it pulled this past Wendsday,"which i hate needles and the fact of bleeding"; And now im sitting here updating my blog and taking a week off from playing online.

On a lighter note i did also download UB and deposited $10.00 into my account just to see how the fields and comp is there. I have always been a big fan of Pokerstars and Fulltilt; And i rarely play on Tilt anyway! But i might end up throwing some cash on UB and Tilt, and i like the blind structures and steps on UB as well. I do keep in contact with a few( 2M)and (3M) players here on Pocketfives.com; Who have been telling me to try UB and other sites with smaller Mtt fields. I think that i will start to think more about multi-tabling over two or three sites now.

As far as my game goes i have decided to do tons of HH reviews and Team player review with friends as well. I have also been doing a lot more video reviews as well as updating my blog www.onlinepokersyndicate.blogspot.com that i have had since i began playing poker over 5 years ago. Things have really been a challenge with me being so far away from home and also out of work. The entire time i have lived in New Orleans i have always had a pretty good job in the oil refinery field. And right now while i wait to get called back to work things have really been hard for me; And poker seems to be the only thing besides god that has kept me sane and out of trouble.

It's really not as fun as it used to be playing the higher buy-ins that i am used too; But i truly know in my heart that God is preparing me to become a very successful poker player. I put in all the time and hard work to constantly improve on my game flow; And my family supports me as well so i know that my time is slowly getting closer with each day of sacrifice.
