  2. everyone bashing him makes me smile =)

  3. Wow. Everyone hates this kid.
I guess I met him on a rare off day when he wasn't acting like a dick?

If nobody else has anything decent to say about him (and he hasn't even bothered to defend himself ITT), I will not be the one to defend him.

    This made me think;
Would you rather be very successful (financially i guess) and hated by all, or unsuccessful and loved and respected by all?

  5. What a terrible interview, amazing how he can be so egotistical while stuttering and rambling on the entire time; seemingly unable to complete most sentences or even describe his thoughts.

He should learn how to fucking speak English before he talks so much shit.. That shit hurt my head..

    Douche.
  6. must be the most annoying reg to play with! stalls every hand of every freaking tourny he plays! how can he not get bored by doing that? yeah i know why he does it, but imagine if every player did it in every tourny...
  7. ihope all the ballers gun for him now haha

    such a humble person

  8. He really loves himself...
  9. First off, I'd like to say sorry to anyone I offended. I didn't mean to come off like that, I was *very* nervous about this interview and have never been comfortable talking over the phone. After the interview, Julio told me that i would get some heat for this. I asked why and he said I bashed the entire mtt community and I was confused. When i listened to it myself it made more sense. I didn't mean it as if everyone who plays tournaments is not trying, i was talking about a small group of people and didn't make that clear. I was at a loss for words for most of julios questions and just rambled the first thing I could think of. If I could re-do this interview, I would. And I think it would be more pleasant for everyone. There's a lot of players out there i would be happy to exchange strategy advice with as well.

Im glad this was posted, it was a good reality check. ive been snapping and getting angry over even little things lately. I'm working on it. People have told me theyve noticed a change in me in the last couple months. I'm not all that bad and would just like the opportunity to revamp my image

  10. Hey alex its russ, just curious of the hand where u talked me into a call when u had AK... A Q x A board... are u balanced with your talking during the hand if your bluffing? hahah just curious, because i try not to talk during hands, as if im bluffing, i prolly would give off too much

  11. alex is awesome. except for the fact that he genuinely believes he's better than me at poker :)
  12. Russ, I haven't played with you much, but you struck me as more of a "hero fold" kind of player on the river over someone who is more of a "pay off wizard". With all the banter that went on before the hand, i felt like talking to you might of reminded you that the whole play was premeditated (telling you i was going to raise your blind, bet almost all in on river, etc) maybe making you think I was more likely to bet more hands to keep my word. I almost wanted to be bluffing in that spot (and save my trips for another river), it seemed like a good spot considering the dynamic. I didn't think I was getting a call when I put the bet out, so i decided that i might as well run my mouth and maybe make you curious/confused.

As far as being balanced goes. I don't really go out of my way to balance out live antics. If I see an opportunity that I think will help sway an opponents decision in my favor, I take it. I could get into a similar situation with a similar player but a different dynamic and say similar things when im bluffing. I think this naturally balances me out.

    What did you have?

    What did you have?

i had KQ ss, was one of the hands i regretted from that tournament... i was fine with my flop and turn call... but i took so long to call on flop and turn.. that i kindve felt like my hand was faceup. and that ud expect me to fold Q a lot...which is why i called... and u did look a little nervous in between the talking haha, but shouldnt have payed too much attention to that, as you could have easily been trying to look nervous.

  16. i think this is a great step in the right direction, but you need to be more consistent with your actions and words if you want anyone to actually believe you... as just last week at mohegan sun i heard you berating a player for over an hour offering to give him a 4 day coaching course for 15,000 dollars..

i do hope you continue to become a better person on the poker tables tho...

I defended you earlier ITT and Im glad you have spoken up for yourself. The day I played with you at Mohegan Sun NAPT 2010 is very memorable to me. Lot of inflection points. You folded 10's, I folded Jacks on the bubble when the Brazilian Pro reraised with Aces. I helped you heckle James Akenhead (in a nice way). I told myself that I would say 'thanks' next time I bumped into you because on an important day at a table full of stone-faced-killers, you were friendly and gave me some good poker insight. I enjoyed the day and felt like I got a lot more outa that poker experience than just the $$$.
I thought you sounded very nervous in your interview. In the future, may i suggest whenever possible, ask the interviewer to send you some of the questions in advance. Seems like u knew the interviewer, no? Woulda avoided the bashing.
Congrats on your success and GL moving forward.

  18. I never berated that player. He asked me what I thought of his game. I asked whether he wanted my honest opinion, he said yes, and I told him what I thought. He solicited my opinion, so I don't know how this could be defined as berating someone.

Thanks stepin, I remember that table being a lot of fun (were you on my direct left?)

  19. Ya- directly on your left. Folded those jacks. We had a good time. You end up drinking with Akenhead?

  20. Shame this happened.. I just assumed he would win OPY for card player in a run away after all he is god & we are all donks....
