been hacked , help?

    Hi there my email account got hacked i think , i tryed logging in 2 days ago and it never worked said wrong pass didnt think to much of it and never done anything at time because i was busy multi tabling ... then i tried logging on 2 titan and it said wrong pass .. so i cant get in2 titan at all and phone them and ask balance cuz im worried and they say zero $$ lol was like 1200 euros coulda been worse i suppose but still , so im playing on carbon and it logs me out while im playing and i cant get bk in its saying wrong pass again ... eventually i get bk in excpecting to see $0 was like $5500 there but it was still same ... but i checked history and they had sat at 2/4 cash with $280 but sat back up with same balance and also transfered $10 to another person? so strangee??? was defo not me .. ive never played cash there once .... so i change every password i have to all redic long different ones and i try to get on my email acct today.. msn hotmail and again it says wrong pass and had to reset it so it seems they can hack my email address np , i also checked with my bank and they said theres been lots of failed log in attempts .... so anyway im just really worried and dont know what the hell is going on. I was wondering if any1 had any advice they could give me has it happened to u before and what should i do?

    Sorry to hear you have been hacked. It sucks that more sites besides party and stars don't use security tokens. :(

    I would email all of the supports on sites you can't get back in with URGENT in the title. They can lock your account and ask you to reverify yourself. I would also contact your bank to shut off your online banking and get new codes from them.

    For Titan specifically, you can try PMing JonTitanPokerManager on top of emailing as he might be able to at least shut the bleeding off. For Carbon I would PM Carbon Chris. Hopefully this guys can help you if support is being slow.

    You really need to change your security question on your email-accounts. Thats the first defence against hackers.
    F.ex:
    Q: Place you were born?
    A: Glasgow

    Instead of Glasgow, you need to change it to something completely random.
    In case u got a key-logger on your comp, i would do all these things on a different network/computer.

    Use gmail, way more secure than hotmail. Also Id make separate emails for each poker account if you really want to be safe.

    apes ur good , what u just said there is 100% the problem of the situation .. they were getting in2 my acct throught the security q ... u hit the nail right on the head mate , was it u that hacked me :) i now changed it to my nationality is scottish so we should have no further problems , thanks

    Mate you need to use something totally random as your secret answer for example i use the same answer for any question which doesnt even relate to it.

    Also has anyone sent you any files recently over msn or do you download stuff from torrent sites? does sound like you may have a keylogger..

    Just incase you have a keylogger use this to change your passwords Start -> Go to All Programs -> Click on Accessories -> Select Accessibility ->Click on On-Screen Keyboard

    If you want send me a screenshot of your task manager and i will find out if there is anything dodgy going on in the background (I work in IT)

    First things first, email your bank, tell them to freeze activity on your account for a while. Then email all the poker sites tell them that your account has been hacked in the past few days and tell them to freeze all your accounts.Then email hotmail and tell them that your account has been hacked. Ring the bank. Ring the poker sites in fact because obviously you can't access your account yet. Obviously the first thing to do is make sure the money is safe. Not interested in your email at th moment. Come on dude, take some initiative.
