On April 15th, without warning, thousands of people lost their jobs and, in many cases, a significant portion of their net worth. Those with money on FTP and UB have serious reasons to be concerned for their money, I know I am. I have a family to take care of, with all the financial obligations associated with it: Mortgage, car and cc's payments, bills, etc, and this can be applied to many others.
Friends of mine had sponsorship deals that have been put on hold. Poker coaches have lost most of their costumers. Those involved in the backing business have very important sums of money in limbo. People that was putting insane amounts of hours pursuing VIP rewards, like the ones PS offers to their SuperNova Elite players, have seen all their hard work become worthless...etc, etc, etc.
Blaming any of these people of shadiness, just because they are desperately trying to minimize the loss by handling money to friends of them who live outside the US, is extremely short sighted. This are very difficult times, and unorthodox solutions have to be put in practice.
If I had my accounts located outside the US, and I could give a hand to a friend trying to recover his money, I'd do it in a split second. I don't care what the TOS of PS, FTP, or UB say regarding chip dumping; when my money was seized, nobody took a look at the TOS of my mortgage to see what the consequences for me and my family would be if I stop making payments.
Casey and Mark are not the enemy here, let's don't forget that. If what happened lately upsets you, use your time trying to put your grain of sand toward the finding of a solution, not finger pointing two guys who, at the end, didn't hurt anybody with what they did.

Anybody that played on UB knew (or at least should have) known the risks associated with playing on that site. After the Potripper scandal everybody knew that it was a gamble to play on the Cereus network.
I may never see my $$$ off of UB but I can't complain. I'm sure as hell not gonna sit here and whine that others might be getting paid.
This pimpinho guy keeps whining about how he wants to have an equal opportunity of receiving his $$$ but what he fails to understand is that UB is restricting the amount of cash flow from their site so these transfers aren't gonna have a huge impact on his ability to get paid. Even if Bigdog transfers 300K it won't affect the Cereus Network's overall cash flow operations (do they actually have any cash left?) much because they are only allowing players to withdraw at a rate of 1K per week.
I say kudos to anybody that's able to get their $$$ off of there.
And I'd like to add one more thing. The Dean rulez!!! -

This thread reminds me of why I have stayed away from P5s for the most part over the last couple years.
The tone of the cereus discussion thread on four concerning this happening is sooo completely opposite of this thread, and Casey's replies there actually seem sincere.
When someone wants to start a serious discussion about things they see going on it all turns into mudslinging, name calling and trolling. Seems like everyone here just wants to be part of the "Kool Kid Klub" and not really discuss these issues that have been affecting us the past few weeks. -

(ftp/ub w/e) If so can you use the p2p transfer? flame me cos it sounds stupid but it has to be available if ape transferred money to bigdog or am I not getting something?! If it would work everyone could just transfer their money to eurofriends and let them cash out, obv this seems to simple to rly work, I'm stupid w/e

they would of done it that way.. but they wanted to look bad ass and 3 bet from 400 to 39, 400 and then fold mostly they do this for meta game so in the future when dip plays someone and he 3 bets 99.9 percent of his stack, his balancee is sometimes to fold. knock out 2 birds with 1 stone type thing, u dig?

idk why people are talking about this being a silly thread. the more i read, the more i think it's a great topic to discuss. people seem to have completely polarized opinions on the matter. it's just too bad the 'elite' players are too busy being condescending pricks to the people who want to discuss the issue here.

I am a strong believer in "mind your own business" and "don't hate the player, hate the game" and especially "DON'T SNITCH" however I can understand the frustration of some in this thread.
I agree that at this point in time especially, we as the poker community need to stick up for each other and I wouldn't hate on anybody for doing whatever possible to get their money off of these sites.
The frustrating part is that if my buddy and I pulled a stunt like this, being 2 random players, both of our accounts would have been frozen and all funds confiscated. However since the 2 players involved here are well known regs, and in this case, a sponsored pro, they are held to a different standard.
It is what it is, and I would never want to see ANYONE lose their $$$ for something like this, but I do understand the frustration of some of us "common folk" who don't have this as an option. -
